After checking out 3 fireplace suppliers, we chose Gemco. Their quote was competitive, but more importantly,, it was Vern's straight forward and trustworthy manner that made us select them. Ryder and his apprentice carried on the great service during installation, and we are very pleased with the end result. Gemco has these 3 amazing employees that should be greatly valued. I would not hesitate to recommend Gemco to anyone, and if I could give them more than 5 stars, I would.

I have been extremely satisfied with all my experiences in dealing with Gemco Fireplaces and Heating. I have purchased a variety of styles of fireplaces and found the quality of the product, the installation, and the service to be top notch. I also purchased a Napoleon BBQ, and after many years of multi-season usage, I am impressed with it’s performance. We loved the service we received from Vern at Gemco. He was incredibly helpful, and knowledgeable. He helped us look at all of our options in our price range and made suggestions. Very nice store. We are looking for a gas fireplace insert to replace the 27 year old one, originally installed when we built our house. A lot of variety and prices to choose from. Larry was really helpful and gave us a detailed quote including cost of removal of the old insert, which is helpful in case I want to do it myself.

Clint from Gemco serviced our gas fireplace yesterday and did an amazing job. We'd recently moved into our house and it had appeared the fireplace might not have been serviced in some time and had dirty glass. Clint showed up exactly on time and was very professional. He did an amazing job of cleaning everything and touched up the paint. He was also able to clean up the glass on the front that we thought might be permanently stained. The fireplace now looks new again. Clint also left behind some extra cleaner and was great with providing advice. I'm glad we picked Gemco and will be using them again for our fireplace needs in the future.

My wife and I were trying to determine if we needed a new fireplace as our basement was cold and would not warm up when we turned on our old one. We were also considering replacing the one in our livingroom as we planned a home renovation later this summer. We had travelled around Edmonton and became frustrated with what we were hearing and the lack of customer service. We went to GEMCO on a Saturday feeling pretty down in the dumps as we were getting no-where. At GEMCO we were introduced to Gerry Loewen. Gerry knows more about fireplaces, their installation and customer service than you will see at all of the other dealers in the area. We booked an appointment with Gerry to come take a look at what we had ....on our schedule. On the morning that he was set to arrive, he called first and showed up exactly when he said he would. He took a look at both of our fireplaces, made a recommendation to my wife. (Did I tell you this was free) Low and behold we only needed to replace the one in the basement. My wife and I discussed this and determined that we wanted to move ahead with this and met with Gerry again, put a deposit down and booked an install again meeting with our schedule. We wanted the tile changed around the mantle and he said they could do that too. When the day came for the install, the contractors showed up when they were suppose to and installed our new fireplace that day. The tile work came a day later and some minor grouting the day after. These contractors cleaned up any mess made and left our house as they had found it. The smile on my wife's face when it was all done, looking exactly as she had hoped with heat in our basement was well worth it. After a bad experience with a different store I went to Gemco. They took the time to figure out what I needed. Very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I will definitely give them my business when I replace my fireplace.

Gemco is a WHOLESALE to trades/contracting company. Very nice showroom with a wide variety of. Natural gas burning products including furnaces, thermostates, heat recovery ventilators, fireplaces, humidifiers & electric fireplaces etc.Very kind, informative & effective staff at the counter.
