Église catholique Saint-Bernard Catholic Church

I am in no way a religious person, but this place is breathtaking. Because of covid I was not able to enter, but hopefully that changes soon because I can only imagine the inside beauty. Just purely amazing architecture.

A magnificent feat of architecture and faith.I had researched the church and its history, but nothing prepared me for how enormous of a structure it is, or just how beautifully it is put together.The inside is breathtaking. I've visited many churches and this is in my top three list. The stone is flawless, the altar is amazing and even on a gray day, the place was filled with light.If you're in the area, visit. If you're even close to the area, make time to go.

It was absolutely beautiful and the detail was stunning. As was the History of the Church.

This church is amazing...We didn't have the opportunity to enter the church today but the outside the grounds were stunning....

What is happening to our beloved churches that house our Lord. Catholic means universal. The lord was present body and blood inside this church hidden quietly in the tabernacle. In the days Jesus walked the earth ..his own people didn't believe He would leave Himself with us . He gave His disciples authority to institute His Body and Blood in an unbloody manner teaching them for 40 days after His death on the cross. We as the world have hidden in this tiny piece of bread called the Eucharist have Jesus present that we who believe may receive. But in His time...many of His followers walked away as His teaching was unheard of by the Jewish people.

On our way to the south end of the island, we decided to just stop at places that looked interesting. St Bernard was open and we said, let's give it a go. The church was stunning. We ended having a long conversation with a woman who has been helping at the church and her explanation of how the church was built and why was fascinating! The art gallery was an added treat. Worth the stop!
