Cape Race Lighthouse
Decided to take a detour on the Irish loop to visit cape race. The paved section of the road in was excellent and the gravel road was in better condition than most of the roads on the rest of the loop. A beautiful drive out. The views from the lighthouse itself were spectacular, the weather was superb, and the lighthouse keeper came and said hello as well!There are two outhouses (in pristine condition) at the rcmp station near mistaken point/just before long beach if you need to use those as well.

A beautiful spot with a great little interpretation centre. The road to get there is a bit rough, but take it easy and you'll make it!

Was well worth the drive, the road has been recently redone, most of it is paved and the last mile or 2 is gravel but was in very good shape, the scenery is just amazing.

We didn't try to enter but the site and drive to the site was spectacular. The last 10km was on an unpaved road but it was in pretty good condition.

Wow! Words can’t describe the beauty of the drive you take to get to the light house. Drive carefully, there’s no cell coverage and a car passes by every 30 mins at best

As a lighthouse lover I loved it. A long drive out on paved and gravel road but beautiful views driving out. Saw whales in water there. Not a busy spot at all. Picnic table there, nice to bring lunch. Not open to go in but fun just taking pics of outside

Bit out of the way but beautiful. Was foggy but very cool to hear the fog horn in action with the light.
