i have not and will not allow my child to go here, i walked by with my daughter and through the window i saw a woman im assuming is one of the caretakershandling a newborn roughly, bouncing them in a bouncer while they slept VERY aggressively. has she ever heard not to shake a baby? it's common knowledge. as someone who believes newborns should be handled with extreme care, especially while left in the trust of a daycare, i would NEVER trust them with my child or reccomend anyone leave their child in their care.

Been sending one child there for over one year and it has been great! Staff are friendly and our little one is excited to go each day to play, learn new things and eat the good food. Looking forward to sending the next one there too soon!

We've had two boys attend from infant to preschool and it has been the most wonderful experience. All staff are great to work with, passionate, and very supportive. So happy to have had this support- the boys, (and I) have benefitted greatly.

We have been with Pluto Active since February 2020, and we have had an incredible experience. We first started with them when our oldest was 16-months. She started in the infant room and the staff was amazing at helping her adjust to the new setting, socialize with others, and learn to sleep on her own. When she moved to the toddler room her teachers were so supportive in our potty-training efforts and made the transition from diapers to fully potty trained effectively. Now in the preschooler room she is learning all the foundations skills and knowledge needed to prepare her for kindergarten in the fall and I am honestly amazed at how many different sensory and learning activities are offered to her – science, planting, play, writing stories, building, and teamwork.Through her 2.5 years at Pluto, our daughter has had almost every staff member as a teacher at some point and I can truly say that each one has been great – each one has taken time to talk with us and update us on her day and her development. This includes any time she had a potty accident, or she scraped her knees, or if she was got hurt by another child. Of course, we never want our kids to get hurt, but it’s part of growing up – and I feel confident that even in those moments the staff have always been on top of things, given lots of hugs, (ice and a band aid when needed) and lots of reassurance. In April 2022 our youngest daughter started daycare in the infant room, and I am glad to say that her first couple of months have been great. She loves coming into the center and seeing her teachers and her friends and she gets so much variety through the day – even at 13 months. They go on neighbourhood walks, have picnics, participate in theme days, and learn fine motor skills through crafts, activities, and games. The teachers take a lot of pride in the kids in their classes – watching the grow and develop, sharing silly jokes and encouraging them to be themselves. As a mom I wish I could be with my kids all the time, but I am so glad that we found Pluto because I know that my girls are having a great time every day and they are surrounded by a staff that cares and really treats them like a second family.

Unprofessional management, they asked me to pay 30 dollars for one min late even no one from the managers send me email I think they need bring Amanda again because Stevia is not qualified to manage the staff. Many accidents, Before two weeks one of kids went to the emergency because she harmed her hand and no one knows what happened. In addition to neglect and lack of follow-up. Luckily I stopped my son and changed the daycare .

Bad and staff don't care about the kids my son got hurt they had no idea how.... there was one lady Dawn I think her name is, she is awesome though wish there where more ladies like her who really do care about their job. My kids were none stop sick from when they started there to when we took them out. I think they need to learn to clean better or hire a better cleaner.

An inappropriate situation was brought to my attention of which occurred within the past two weeks. An ECE uttered a death threat and yelled at a child. Pluto, being a daycare, cares for children up to six years of age. Children under six years of age do not have the cognitive ability to decider whether a threat is to be a reality or an inappropriate reaction by an adult who has maladaptive impulse control. This child’s parents have not been informed of this incident, and the child is in a situation where they may feel that their life is at risk; this is unacceptable. The ECE who is at cause is still employed. Two ECE’s have provided their notice of leave due to the unprofessional, and inappropriate handling of the situation. This not only shows that abusive behaviour is socially normal, but also provides a model for behaviour that will be learned by the children at the daycare. This behaviour will be learned by the children, and so, these children will grow up to believe that threats to kill are socially acceptable and are not punishable. Pluto, do the right thing, provide positive models of behaviour that these children are learning from. Terminate the ECE that uttered death threats, provide an example of negative punishment, children learn from this punishment when it is modelled.

Some of the staff are wonderful people. But the management is money hungry and dont care if you use the food bank and scrape by from pay cheque to pay cheque as a single parent. if you cant pay they will take every penny you have plus some in late fees, and the worst part, they will charge you late fees for sat and sun even if you child has never attended a sat and they are closed sun. absolutely absurb. I have had some bad experiences there including an anonymous call to family and childrens services about a worker there being too rough with my child and still they treat you this way. Worst part of that issie is being told by everyone i didnt have the right to know any details in order to protect that employee at pluto. I was furious as a parent. I should have been the most important person to be informed of the issue so that i can make my own informed decision on whether leaving my child there was a suitable choice or not. Im sure they work with many struggling families but that doesnt seem to be a concern to them. Unless your well off, i advise avoiding sending your child there. In late fees alone, as a struggling single parent, they just took grocery money right out of my kids mouth. Completely insensitive as far as im concerned. As for illness, my child is constantly sick there also as already mentioned, which i find ironic considering they will send your child home over the silliest of reasons and wont allow your child back until you get a doctors approval. I would not have an issues with that, had it not been over so many silly reasons. That also means missing time from work when not nessecary. This centre as mentioned, does have some great teachers, but there are a few in management who just ruin the whole place. There are times i have questioned the lack of supervision as well. My child doesnt always seem to get certain amount of help they need not to mention how mny times ive seen a hild sitting on the floor struggling to get their shoes on or crying for help and no one seemed to notice or care. Children yanking toys away from others and staff allowing it. Unprofessional considering every member of staff should have a full educational backround of child care, and i have seen plenty that seem to lack that.

Love the daycare, great staff. Very caring and considerate. My son has been going there since he was an infant and we have had nothing but a great experience. His current teachers are amazing and are working on getting him ready for JK. They work with you and let you know every day how things are going. Awesome place
