Great place, I love the work they're doing. I only wish they got more attention and funding, the facility itself is pretty run down, but thats to expected when you're funded mostly through donations. I sincerely hope every individual who has had to take up residency here is able to find their way back to a stable and comfortable life.

So they wake you up at 5:30 am. No work programs. Small beds. Violent people. So happy that I’m in a nursing home. Spent a night in the foothills shelter. It was the same.Spoke to a couple of residents that stayed there. Thanks but no thanks.

I walked in as a distraught parent, was provided no information but was allowed to leave a note.I had never experienced anything like what I saw and bawled in their parking lot. How is this happening in a first world country. How are our children being lost in places like this. I am grateful they provide shelter and basic needs but WOW. We watched an overdose and naloxone administration in front our our eyes .. we as society need to do better .. these are parents, children, friends.. the staff we encountered were compassionate and friendly. I gave it this rating because I don’t know enough about the inside to rate it higher … bless all who work and volunteer here

The worst thing here in this place is the food and the Chef. She is not good at all!!!!!!!!! as She seems to think that a bowl of cereal on Saturday & Sunday which barley fits in the palm of your hand is sufficient for everyone, which is very very odd to seem to think it’s enough! Let alone never finding a way for lactose intolerance & it is not hard at all, which concludes how bad she is at menu planning!Yes these poor people live here, yes they all may seem thankful for even getting anything at all but she needs to go! So if any actual chefs see this! Please apply and remove this chef and actually help the many men and woman here with real food because I know 5 companies that donate to the DI and they provide more then enough food & resources for these people to use.If anyone wants to know how I got this info, I was, WAS a registered volunteer and after seeing what they provide and pass off as food is almost criminal!Someone needs to get rid of this chef, hands down!!Last but not least there absolutely no resources for mental health, work or even someone to talk to! So I am never going to volunteer here ever again & I highly recommend anyone else to not do as well as you will see the greed these people have that profits off homeless let alone giving donated food to staff that should all go to the homeless as so many are starving here and many approached me asking or food but behind the rules and regulations they would not allow me to give them more, while knowing the whole time the fridges and freezer is packed full!
