It's in a very sketchy area of town, I'd stay away for your safety.

My family and I do not feel safe going to Kam River Heritage Park with all the homeless people living there with there tents, its supposed to be for the pubic area to visit, were are they going to go once winter arrives they can't just stay there when it gets cold outside, another thing whats happening with that Blue Cargo Trian just sitting there thats has newspaper taped to the window, they should really consider making that Blue Cargo Trian into a musem, especially when you drive or walking underneath Kam Bridge left hand side of the wall is all cracked almost looks like the top the trian bridge holding on by a thread feels like it hasn't been fixed since the mid 90s.

Good boardwalk for biking, walking. Nice views of the river.Signs reminding us of the grain and shipping history.

A generally quiet park, with a boardwalk, old train, tugboat and a sculpture. There's not a significant amount of information about the boat/train/sculpture, and the boat/train cant be entered by the public but they're neat to look at.The area is near downtown Fort William and sees a fair number of drug users and people struggling with homelessness. While these people mostly keep to themselves, some people may find this uncomfortable to be around. Not suitable for kids, as there are often needles and broken glass lying around.

Great place to stop n have a coffee or lunch n watch rowers and boats make their way up and down the river. You can check out the Old Via Train, the James Whalen Ice Breaker/Tug and the amazing Metallic Aboriginal Wing Sculpture. As others have stated, theres often undesirables in the vicinity but whatever. It's still a nice little spot to just clear your mind.

Could be a beautiful place. City needs to get it cleaned up have police presence there to stop the people from throwing needles/alcohol bottles and garbage around. If you could take your kids here for a walk without them seeing disgusting acts taking place would be a beautiful spot. Unfortunately the city has turned a blind eye.

This is a beautiful, but sadly underutilized area of the city. I wish there were more things going on here. We enjoyed watching the regatta of the Thunder Bay rowing club whose headquarters is located here.

Not the best part of the town to visit due to the presence of a lot of homeless people.. but views are stunning..
