Bamberton Campsite
Great campsite. Lots of fun things to do at the nearby beach. We had a lesson in mollusks and we're able to dig some clams up. Stayed for 6 days. Camp host KC was very cheerful and easy going. Bathrooms are cleaned and stocked. Always room in the garbages to discard trash to keep the campsite clean. Easy check-in checkout process at a reasonable price. Easy to recommend.

Nice camp ground on the island. Perfect to explore the island as things are relatively close from here, 30 mins to Victoria and about an hour to Nanaimo. Campground has a trail going down to the inlet but it's a hike up of about 15 minutes or so uphill. No showers on site.

Bamberton Campsite
The campground is a fair hike back uphill from the beach if you go by foot. The trail is nice though and the beach is great for swimming. It is a great place to stay and visit some of the other spectacular places in the area. It is also very close to Victoria if you are wanting to spend time there as well as it makes a great spot for tourists. There are only a few first-come-first served spots though so reservations are highly recommended during the summer months.

Excellent park staff, very friendly and competent.Beach is full of clams and mussels. We didn't take any since there were signs all over about a poisonous bacterium in them. Did see others with shovel and buckets coming when we left.

Small campground, but beautiful forest setting! No RV hook-ups. Outhouse, rather than washrooms. Water is shut off during the off-season. Sites vary in size, from small tenting to large RV size, each with a sturdy picnic table and fire ring. The top loop of 11 sites is open all year round.

for some reason, the provincial park is not on google maps yet the campsite is. this is actually a provincial park with a day lit and beach area, as well as a campsite. plenty of parking spots, picnic tables, an open shower, change rooms, accessible washrooms this is actually a very well kept park. not much hiking around but good spot for a beach day or lunch

We had a lot of fun here cycle camping with 10 of us. Like many BC Parks, Bamberton has lots of space between sites and well taken care of facilities. The trail to the beach is a steep one, but the beach is a must visit. So enjoy the walk down…the walk up is a bit of a grind.

We love this campground. Nice size, it has privacy, quiet, drinkable water, and a clean washroom. The worker will empty the garbage and clean the washroom every day. This is probably the only campground that is really well maintained. It was fun to go jogging at the beach, and the hiking trail was the best. Perfect for those who like cardio. This campground is a very affordable price, but you need to make a reservation. It takes only 30 minutes to go to Victoria, which is a good option. There are many spots for beach access, which is only 5 minutes away and we enjoyed it very much. Overall great experience, and we will come back here again.
