Le Cartier Bed and Breakfast
Beautiful B &B. Clean. Nicely decorated with all required amenities. Situated on a quiet street a block away from restaurants shopping and more. The owner is very friendly and provided great suggestions on what to do in Montreal. Will definitely like to stay again.

Le Cartier Bed and Breakfast
I came here a few months ago during a business trip as a buddy of mine recommended it. The rooms were cheap and seemed pretty spacious in the pictures so I said why not. When I arrived I saw a guy (Richard?) apparently engaged in a fist fight with an actual guest. They ended up on the street while other guests tried to break up and dissolve the brawl. I legit could not believe what I witnessed. I did see the other bad reviews on here but I chalked it up to some disgruntled person who had nothing better to do....but man. I wish I had a dslr or something so I could have filmed it. Obviously I chose a different hotel. Only God knows what would've happened if I decided to stay.

This is the third time I've stayed at Le Cartier B&B. Location is great near Papinaeu Station and other amenities. The suites and apartment are fantastic for getaways. Comfortable and convenient. The owners, JC and Richard, are great. Scott helps them take care of cleaning and anything you need. Richard is a wealth of information about Montreal especially the best places to eat out.Breakfast for us was self-serve continental with cereals, pastries, breads/bagels, fruit, yogurt, coffee/tea, etc. I vastly prefer this over a traditional B&B.Le Cartier B&B is now my only place to stay in Montreal. Highly recommend.

Le Cartier Bed and Breakfast
Le Cartier B&B was the perfect base for exploring Montreal. The room was very clean and comfortable. Access to the outdoor courtyard was lovely for eating our breakfast. The breakfast was more DIY than most B&Bs as it was basic yogurt, packaged muffins, toast, bagels, make-it-yourself coffee, and cereal. If you are expecting a gourmet breakfast, you will be disappointed. BUT, the location is A+! The metro is half a block away. Restaurants on Ste Catherine St. were great. The neighborhood has a very funky vibe with plenty of pride flags and people having fun.Upon arrival the owner sat down with us to go though the map of the city, explaining the best way to get to all the sights, and gave wonderful advice on where to go. We will definitely be back!

Came with to celebrate a 1 year anniversary with the wife. Met the manager who runs the place and really nice gentlemen. The way he drank his wine was even hilarious..he was pretty dope. However on the first night staying here we noticed 2 rats scurrying away in the kitchen. Pretty appalling experience. Unfortunately we had no choice but to stay at a hotel. Beware of this when staying here. Great personalities but nasty/disgusting stay

The reason I am giving one star is that I could not sleep properly even one night out of 6 nights I stayed there. You may ask why? Rooms are closely located to the kitchen where is naturally very noisy in the morning. Even worse, the housekeeper usually turns up at 7 am, shutting the main door negligently while whistling in the corridor and making some unnecessary noise. The owner himself (Richard) is a nice fellow but it is not enough for guests who want a peaceful place to reset. If you are really sure that you are getting up before 7 am, then you can consider 3 stars more.

Excellent stay here. Richard was very friendly and welcoming, and has a pocket book of restaurant recommendations! The rooms are nice and spacious, in a quiet neighbourhood. The rooms are apartment-styled, and feel just like home. The kitchen is clean and kept well-stocked with food and snacks. We appreciated the kitchen ware and fresh croissants.Location is within 2 minutes of the subway, so it's very convenient. It's also really easy to find the place. We highly recommend this B&B!

Le Cartier Bed and Breakfast
Great place to be in Montreal. I stayed for a week. I don't like taking chances with random people on Airbnb who do it as a hobby, so I went with a formal Bed & Breakfast establishment run by professionals.Le Cartier is small, quiet, clean, and tucked away in the downtown so you don't get street-noise during the night. Apartment I booked was serviced every day by friendly and courteous owners, and kept virtually spotless the entire time. The apartment was almost as big as my apartment back home! Owners were knowledgeable and kept in contact the entire trip. Kitchenette worked well, WiFi worked much better than expected; no need to tether to your phone! (Lots of hotels have bad Free WiFi" but Le Cartier was very good.) Came during the colder season and the apartment was well-heated through all hours. Tons of coffee shops

I stayed at this Bed and Breakfast a few years back. I can not say enough good things about this establishment. Richard the owner was always friendly and very accommodating during my stay. The B and B was very quiet at night and I was staying there during Pride. I strongly recommend Le Cartier Bed and Breakfast.
