The fishing pier is nice. Have brought my kids here a couple of times to try our luck - mainly just for fun. I’ve only seen people catch rock fish, cat-fish and crab here. This pier is at the edge of Steveston and marks the East edge of Shady Island. It is situated along the bikeway and roadway that makes up the Dyke Road drive . The area around here is newly developed (over the last 5-8 years) with a couple of fancy restaurants, Bakeries and Cafés. The pier is well maintained and provides a landing pad for boats which rises and ebbs with the tide.

Very nice view, maybe too many cyclists taking up the road ways, I think the City should have one side walking and the other side bicycles

I came here originally hoping to catch crabs, and soon I discover that I came to to WRONG place. However, the beautiful scenery was worthy it along.I see many people came for bird watching or photograpghy.I would definitely come back here for again with my family.
