All About Sewing Machines

I just had my Bernina 790 plus service by Lloyd and I have her home now and she is purring like a kitten.Great service and friendly knowledgeable staff. I’m looking at purchasing a brother scan and cut machine from them and their price is excellent. Highly recommend this store.

I have been a customer at All About Sewing both personally and for my industrial machine at work for years. Lloyd is a good, dependable sewing machine repair guy and my machines are running well. The new motor in the industrial just breathes new life into it and makes each stitch a joy.

I can’t believe the good reviews this repair shop gets. My machine was in the shop for FOUR months and I was never given any indication or explanation why it cost $350 to service - at one point I was emailed telling me it was making a loud noise (not when I brought it in!) and it would cost another $180 and then two days later they said, sorry, wrong machine. They sent me home with somebody else’s foot pedal. But mostly I detested how I was talked down to/ no attempt to explain what repairs were done or why. Would NEVER go back here again

Great store for your sewing and quilting needs! It's huge, and they have absolutely everything - classes, fabrics, sewing notions. Their staff is friendly and helpful and I love visiting this store often! Can't wait to see what they do next

I have known Lloyd for several years and trust no one else to take care of my machines. He has serviced my computerized embroidery machine, my Featherweight and my long arm quilting machine. His work is high quality, fairly priced and turn around time is adhered to. He explains well and listens to your concerns. I have bought a machine from Lloyd and recommended him to three friends who have also bought their machines from him.His new shop is roomy and he is willingly to work with new clients to make it a place where they can go for classes and training and feel comfortable and welcomed.

Worst customer service ever. Ordered a sewing foot in person and specified I did not want generic. Half hour later I noticed they ordered the generic. I called back right away and left a message. Still no call back a few hours later. Called them again later that afternoon as I was going back home to Toronto. Guy who answered phone understood what I was looking for and indicated he would correct it. The wrong part arrived a few days later. I called immediately and person who completed my order remembered I specified not generic and said she would take care of it. Almost 3 weeks now and I have heard nothing. I called back again yesterday and another person answered and said she would have to look into it. They have still not called me back a day later now. I tried calling today and nobod yanswered. At this point I don't want to leave a message as I am not certain anyone will call me back. I will never shop here again. Now I am sitting with a product I don't want and a credit card bill which includes shipping and no resolution.

Very refreshing to deal with Lloyd at All About Sewing Machines" in Barrie. He quickly figured out my machine's problem and I was able to make a "repair or not repair" decision immediately. He even took the time to show me exactly what the problem was under the casing. Lloyd was very personable

I live quite far from Barrie, but will make the 3 hour drive because I cannot say enough about the service. The owner is knowledgeable and friendly and every transaction has been a pleasure!
