Bonne Bay Marine Station

The Marine Station was a great place for marine life enthusiasts. The staff there are passionate about their research and the work they do.There is lots of information for self guided tour or ask one of the staff and they will explain. They have a couple touch tanks too with a few different species. Family friendly fun!

Awesome interpretive tour, lots of marine species to see and some to touch!

It was with mixed emotions that we toured this impressive facility. Our daughter, then seven, was at times both startled and amazed at the sea life and tanks and enjoyed the descriptions of the young and energetic staffers. I found myself both angry at how we as a species can become so dependent on a single species (in this case cod) for our livelihoods and sympathetic to the population that suffered as a result of the moratorium on the cod fishery established decades before. It was heartening to see research being done on creating a sustainable and well-managed snow crab fishery and steps being taken to monitor the province's beautiful seemingly unspoiled ecosystem. The boat tour was grand as well, beautiful views of the surrounding bays and mountains.

The Public Aquarium is pretty small, $20 for a family.

although the place is a small, it has lots of wonderful Atlantic underwater information.

The staff/ students were great! Very informative and hands on. My daughter had a lot of fun and our 'guide' made the experience one to be remembered. If you have kiddos, this is a must!

This Marine Station has a lot of potential to draw a lot of tourist back for a 2nd visit. It has some amazing eye catching sea creatures what most people will never get to see elsewhere. The staff really need to get more training to provide the full potential of what this Marine Station can really be. The staff wasn't very engaged with their visitors which was kind of a disappointment to most of those whole made the long drip to learn more about our ocean life.

Very passionate, engaging and knowledgeable tour guides. Great place for the family. Relatively inexpensive. Parking may be an issue during the busy season.

This area is absolutely beautiful.... With lots to do with the museum... Fishing pier.. Boat tours and the people here are absolutely wonderful...

Worth the trip while in Gros Morne area. Great for all ages.
