Sinocan Winery

Had our wedding here in July 2022. It was a beautiful venue with a tented area that can accommodate 100+ people. Lucia was nice and accommodating. But there are a couple of things to note in terms of communication, manure smell and kitchen space:Communication could be improved as we were over-promised when we visited the venue for the first time. For example, we were told the entire Airbnb house containing the bridal suite would be blocked if the bridal suite was to be rented out for a wedding. This never happened. We had to share this house with others. Also, we were told that there's a small fridge that we could use. We didn't get to in the end and had to rearrange our cake delivery/cutting time. It basically felt like a blank canvas.Also, there's no kitchen onsite. We had to rent a mobile kitchen separately, which costed another $1500.The smell! This one bothered me a lot! The entire place smelled like fresh animal manure on our wedding day. It's so strong that it ruined my mood. I never predicted this would happen! I remembered the smell would bother me constantly, even when making vows or eating dinner. I also felt guilty our guests had endure this for 6 hours. I never adjusted to the smell completely after an entire day.Overall, it was a pretty and private venue with lots of greeneries. Plenty of parking spaces, nice garden views and a fancy bridal suite. The only thing is I have some negative emotions attached to the logistical challenge and the smell.

Book this venue in the summer for a bridal shower I was asked a day before how many chairs and tables I would need. I got to the venue the day of nothing was set up for me. The girl working at the front didn’t even know I was coming! The tables and chairs provided were wet and we couldn’t get our event ready in time before guests arrived. We were wiping down tables ( doing their job for them) overall really bad communication and very unprofessional. Venue is nice but not worth the stress!

Recently had my wedding here in june 2023.Lucia the venue rep was very kind and accommodating. She even let us enter the reception area day earlier since noone had their wedding night before us. Throughout the 14 months we were able to visit the venue a few times easily and lucia was happy to answer any questions.The venue itself is very beautiful. The greens are well taken care of. Ample parking for guests and great places for guests to take photos around the gardens.Things sinocan can improve on is a bit professionalism. As this is the owners home the owner had friends over while we were getting ready for the wedding and random people walking by the bridal suite entrance were taking videos and photos. You expect a level of privacy when you pay to rent the suite for the wedding day. During the venue set up time in the morning the greens were being water and they completely soaked our polaroid camera guest book area. Luckily we had put everything in plastic boxes so the film and camera was not wet but our signage had to be reprinted. As they are family business i am sure they are learning as they go.

One of the best winery experiences! The manager is so nice and fun to talk to. It’s smaller than other Langley ones, but definitely worth coming in to try their blueberry wines

What a beautiful venue Barry and Cindy have created! I had the pleasure of meeting the very kind, hospitable, and passionate owner, Barry who had incredible heart-felt stories to share about what he has dedicated his life's work to. We went with him on his journey - hearing how he turned a blueberry farm into a gathering space where culture and community could intersect and connect. I can't speak more highly of our visit! The blueberry wine is delicious and the dessert wine, Rosalia" is exquisite and I'm not a sweet-drink-person! (it's not as sweet as ice wine - but the owner definitely is!)"

Beautiful place with a very nice garden. There was a wedding reception when I've visited. The wines are made from blueberries, it's different, but enjoyable

Amazing place. There is a very beautiful and sophisticated garden out front, with a well-kept pond and a great variety of carefully tended flowers and plants. Beyond the garden, there is also a mini golf course, which I think is terrific especially for families. In the back there is also a nice venue for weddings. It is very spacious and I honestly can't think of any better location for holding events or parties in the area. They've got some very delicious blueberry wines too down at the winery. Very unique and it's impressive that they've crafted their wines from blueberries grown on the estate. Highly recommended.

The garden is so amazing! I enjoyed sightseeing with flowers & grassland, entertaining with their own branded wines, relaxing with walking in nature… The owners are so considerable, to design mini golf, kids playground to release my daughter’s energy! My whole family is pleased here! Best private garden I have ever visited!

Ok this is going to be a bit of a different review than most of the ones for Sinocan so far. First off I will say that the venue is gorgeous. Me and my wife loved how it looked, the lighting was great for our photographers and the fact that ceremony and reception are steps away was fantastic. The TLDR is i would reccomend using Sinocan for your wedding venue, but there were some incidents that happened which I soured my grapes so to speak.First: Sinocan went through a personnel change from when we booked our wedding and when our wedding happened. Unfortunately during that time their standard contract also changed. In our contract we were supposed to have 3 hours the night before to setup and 3 hours the day after to finish cleaning up. Because of the aforementioned changes they booked a wedding the day before us and a Wedding the day after us. So we had to negotiate with Barry to come to arrangment, and during our negotiation Barry, without telling us, invited the couple from the day before us to try and negotiate against us, which was a bit shady feeling. We eventually came to an arrangment but not before thoroughly upsetting my wife-to-be and having an uncomfortable situation. Pitting the couples against each other felt really unfair to us and the other couple, as we have nothing to do with each other.Second: After a wonderful wedding and honestly a ton of help setting up from Lucia we headed home for the night, fully planning on coming in the next day to finish our clean up. When we got there in the morning we found that they had turned on the sprinklers overnight, damaging about $500 worth our Wedding Decor which was on the edge of the lawn ready for pickup. The only thing i would have asked for here is just some notification that the sprinklers would be going on, then we would have moved our stuff further away from the green space.So overall like i said above, i would reccomend Sinocan for your wedding, and I think that Barry and Lucia truly mean the best, but their lack of communicating with their Employee in one instance and lack of communicating with us in another instance caused us some headache so take that for what you will.

Viany and I had our wedding here! Was so special and wouldn't have done anything different. The amount of care and attention and love that goes into planning an event or wedding here is seriously not of this world. We loved it Barry and family and we appreciate your hospitality ♥️.
