Elder Tree Montessori (Barrie)

I drop my daughter off every morning and she is happy to see Ms Hiral. She currently has Ms Kim as a teacher and loves her. She always has so much fun at school and even pretends to call her teachers on her phone at home. Virginia and Javed are always quick to address any concerns we may have.

My son has been with Elder Tree for over a year, starting at 14 months, and we feel completely confident and safe leaving him in their care everyday . Their open door policy, their quick reaction to concerns or inquiries and their level of care is a solid 5/5. Most importantly my son is developing at a really great level, And he is extremely happy to be dropped off every morning. His smile says it all!!

We are beyond happy with our decision to enroll our 17 month old daughter at Eldertree. This was her first time away from me. Virginia and the team are amazing! We feel reassured and confident in the care and education she is receiving. The app is great to keep us updated during the day but the team is great at updating us on her day at pickup. They were able to accommodate my daughters dietary restrictions and provide food she enjoys!

Could not be happier about sending our little one to Eldertree. All the staff have been so warm and communicate openly. As nervous as we were, everyone helped our family through a fantastic transition. They have accommodated our dietary requests and send pictures. The facility is very clean and we can tell our little one has really enjoyed and grown during his time there.

My toddler has been attending Elder Tree Montessori for just over a month, and my husband and I only have positive things to stay about the centre and staff. We were considering other centres closer to home in south Barrie before we enrolled, but Elder Tree is certainly worth the extra few minutes drive at drop off and pickup.The himama app is great for communication about her day. We have enjoyed seeing what she eats for nutritious meals and snacks. The pictures we recieve of her exploring in and outside the centre always make our day. The caregivers on staff give a quick rundown about her day upon pickup as well. My daughter has only been attending a short time but already we have seen her gestures and verbal communication increase tenfold.The best testament to the care the staff at Elder Tree privides is that my daughter is always smiling and eager to go explore when we arrive. She goes straight from my arms into the caring outstretched arms of a qualified and cheerful educator. Thank you to Virginia and the rest of the staff for making the transition to daycare so wonderful!

I have worked at Eldertree for a year now and enjoy working here so much.Any concerns in regards to any other coworkers or staff that I have had when handling the children have been dealt with quickly and appropriately (whether this be speaking to colleagues about their behaviour or letting them go due to not being seen fit to work at the centre.) Unfortunately childcare is not for everyone and that may be where any negative reviews or complaints may be coming from- but as mentioned these issues were dealt with quickly and effectively. Any changes that needed to be made in favour/benefit of our centre were done quickly and in compliance of what was expected. Although not every person(s) or parent may be happy with the way the situation has been handled- we have done what has been asked and expected of us for the centre. Unfortunately some may still be unhappy; likely because things are not going exactly the way they wish, but we have done what needs to be done and what has been asked of by ministry to be running a safe and healthy educational centre.On top of this, the centre and staff have openly and willingly been through any processes with ministry or any investigations that have needed to be done to make sure our centre is running smoothly and safely for the children. As at the end of the day our purpose as educators is to keep the children safe, healthy and happy.I can confidently say everyone I am currently working with at the centre have nothing but love and respect for every child and their parents/families. Every child in my classroom comes running in happily with open arms, giving teachers and their friends hugs and sometimes are sad to even leave because they enjoy being there!There are ups and downs to every child care you look into in Barrie and surrounding areas- you will never find a perfect centre, but I can confidently say I am proud to work here and love my job, the children and the families.I would also like to add that one persons actions should not reflect the entire centre and other educators who work here as a whole. Any educators who were not seen fit to work at this centre due to any type of inappropriate actions - - have consequences that reflect those actions. Any educators who still work here have actively set out to make sure the centre is a safe environment to work at and for the children’s well beings. They also do not stand behind any abusive behaviours caused by any person(s) - this includes educators and parents. Any and all staff would and have spoken up about any inappropriate conflicts and issues that have arise at the centre.

We love our experience with Eldertree and the staff there. Our son has been going there for almost a year now. It was scary to leave him in the beginning but Virginia and her staff were warm and took care of the transition with knowledge and wisdom.Virginia and her wealth of experience has supported us every step of the way and even offered her wisdom on how to navigate the change when we were expecting another child.We can see the developmental growth in all areas since his time at Eldertree. He always has a goofy smile on his face when we pick him up at the end of the day. The staff in the toddler rooms have so much energy and enthusiasm that we have no doubt that our kid has the best time there. We couldn’t be happier.

My 2.5 year old son has been attending Elder Tree for 1 month now! It is his first experience leaving mom and dad, and it has been an awesome transition. The teachers are so welcoming and always take the time to let me know how each day has gone when I pick him up. I love that! They have also accommodated for our Vegan diet, and provide him plant based healthy food at the centre. My Son is always happy when I pick him up abs excited to leave in the morning. Great place, I’m very grateful we found it. Highly recommend this Covid conscious, safe and fabulous learning environment for your child.

We absolutely love elder tree! Our son has been there for a few months now, and he always goes to the staff with open arms in the morning!My husband and I have noticed so much change in our son, in the short time he has been there. He talks alot more now and even uses baby sign language to communicate! We love the himama app, as it let's us know how his day is going with regular updates!Thank you so much to the staff for being a fantastic option for our little guy!

My 2-year-old has been attending Elder tree since April, and we only have good things to say. Since she's been attending, her words have exploded. She's become so independent and has learnt so many new things. The teachers are super caring and show genuine interest in each child. We can’t say enough good things about Elder Tree. We love it!
