Disaster finally struck and our water line broke. Thankfully I was put in touch with Sonny and his crew at Down Under Excavating. He provided a great explanation of what he would do to put the new line in. He showed up early on the day and the crew worked hard to get the new line in on one day.I could not be happier with the quality of the work and Sonny was great to deal with. I would highly recommend them for your sewer and water jobs.

Just talked to the owner Sunny and he was very helpful!The city of Winnipeg has subcontracted a company to replace the city water lines on our street. A group of neighbours all were looking to replace the water lines from the city to our homes at the same time as it’s being excavated. The current contractor (not Down Under) doing the city work has quoted us outrageous prices even though they are already on site and the holes are dug.Sunny, from Down Under suggested that we call our insurance companies because we might already be covered for line replacements…which we are!!! Thanks for the advice Sunny! You were a pleasure to talk to and very informative.

I don't review often, but Sonny and his folks did such a superb job that I had to leave one for Down Under. I had a sewer mainline shift that needed my front lawn excavated and a replacement pipe added. Down Under made it easy; told me exactly what I needed to do and worked great with my insurance provider and provided options on how to approach it. They were communicative about time windows and generally handled everything on their own when it came to the work and permits and all that fun stuff. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs excavation work done.

Soooo glad I chose DU when my main sewer line collapsed. I had four quotes with DU's price in the middle. However, they were able to start fairly quickly unlike the others. By the end of day 1 when work was supposed to be done, they had discovered big problems on the city side of the property line, as well as mine. They let me know right away day 2 would be required. They coordinated with the city to replace the full line length. Final invoice arrived matching the quote.

Can not say enough good things. Years ago they replaced the line from the sewer to my property line and recently some problems occurred. I've had people quote my over $15,000 to replace the sewer line from the house to the property line but these guys checked out the videos and reassured me the situation was not dire. The pipe was in good shape, just root invasion at the joints, normal for Winnipeg sewer lines from the 50's. Run a rooter service once a year and it will be fine for another 20 years.

Sonny and Dustin of Down Under Excavating repaired our sewer line and added an external clean out. They let us know what to expect, answered our many questions about the process, were in and out in a day, had a camera man check the line for trouble out beyond our repair location, cleaned up the work area when they left, and gave us the name of someone able to do another step in the process. We're very pleased with their service
