Northern Delight
I am a patient person. The restaurant was busy and there were only a couple of people doing front of house. BUT there are some very simple things any restaurant owner should know: first, when people come in the door, acknowledge them. Not meeting people’s eyes or letting them know it’ll be a couple of minutes until they’re seated is just rude. Second, get the menus to the table at the same time people are seated. Seems like restaurant 101 to me. Next tell them about the special and ask if they want drinks. Don’t leave them sitting for 30 minutes before asking them what they want. Also, make note of which tables are seated in what order. Be sure to take the orders in that order. Again, restaurant 101. If the kitchen is backed up, tell your tables that! People are forgiving! Don’t just avoid their eyes. Not cool! Waiting for an hour for an appetizer is FAR too long. We finally had to ask about our meals. In the meantime people who were seated after us had already eaten and left. What the heck?! And no communication from the wait staff! Again, not cool. After I asked, then finally we got our apps and then, two minutes later, we got our mains. Sigh. Again, I am a patient person, but the service in this place was abysmal. The food was okay but they’ve got to get their act together with respect to the service and the kitchen. Don’t go if you have another choice.

Nice, simple place - first time I had fried cod tongues. Close to the Viking sites and easy to find. If I had been more hungry I would have tried one of the many pies on the menu.

The food and service was excellent! Try their NL Brewis!! Absolutely delicious and satisfying dish :)They close at 8 pm, so be mindful as google had the wrong time showing

The place was a very nice place to eat. The food was excellent and they even made a special dish to serve a vegetarian meal that wasn’t on the Father’s Day menu. Again a great place

Stopped in for take-out. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Food is fantastic! It looked so good and I was starving...forgot to take a picture before.Mozza sticks appy, pan friend shrimp with baked potato, peas (there were carrots but I don't eat them, so they didn't add) and coleslaw.

Lovely meal! Not too greasy! Daughter loved her burger. I enjoyed the sea food platter and hubby and other daughter ate delicious fish and chips. We usually don’t buy dessert but we held room. Oh my! The blueberry and partiridge berry pie were excellent! I loved the cheesecake with bakeapple topping! If we stayed longer in the area we’d be back again!! I’d love to try the soup! Hard working woman/small crew there! Thank you!
