While myself and my partner did not stay the night, we travelled from our AirBnB to eat at Restaurant 100 KM, and we were not disappointed. In fact, it saved our day! We had a terrible dining experience in Antigonish for lunch a few hours prior, and spent the most part of our day driving up from Halifax during a heavy rainstorm. Needless to say, we had written off the whole day by the time we arrived at the Cabot Trail. But eating at this restaurant was such a treat that all our negativity melted away. The husband-and-wife team at the restaurant were both incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and sweet. We were surprised that we were the only ones dining as lesser restaurants back at home in Ottawa would have lines out the door.I loved the Strawberry-Rhubarb Fool dessert so much that I asked if they sold jars of the delicious compote for takeaway. They didn't, but the chef generously gave us the recipe to take home. All in all, I would 100% recommend this place to all visitors in the area! It's well worth the trek and you won't be disappointed.

We had a truly delicious dinner at Chanterelles tonight. While it was a touch too chilly to sit outside, the veranda and view were beautiful and we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds from the cosy dining room. We will definitely return.

We stayed 4 nights at the Chanterelle Inn and we absolutely loved everything about our stay. The staff is welcoming, friendly and devoted, the rooms are comfortable, nicely decorated and clean, and the food is AMAZING.A special thanks to the chef who carefully selected some of the best Nova Scotia wines.Beautiful view from the veranda, and the many hummingbirds that are constantly at the feeders definitely made us smile. What a peaceful place. We strongly recommend the inn, a great home base to visit the Cabot's trail!

We had a delicious meal at Chantarelle Restaurant! The owner was lovely, the chef was incredible, and it was a great experience overall. It was a meal we won't soon forget for sure! No photos because we ate everything too quickly.

We came to the Chanterelle by a recommendation from our host at our accommodation. It was quite a drive but definitely worth it. We were looking for some real good food after having deep-fried clams and deep-fried everything - a nightmare for foodies like us. We were welcomed warmly and enjoyed the conversation with Holger. His wife‘s culinary skills are top notch so that we came back for a second evening. The clams with fettuccine and the clams as a starter were exactly how clams should be prepared and the Strawberry-Rhubarb Fool dessert is to die for. We would 100% recommend this restaurant if you are looking for delicious, high quality food. You won't be disappointed.

The family running this works 18 hour days and there are only 3 of them! The staff is literally sacrificing sleep and days off to make the guests experience wonderful. They use locally sourced foods as much as possible and deserve a day off but they don't get them and THAT IS DEDICATION!We spent 2 nights here in this cozy retreat overlooking the North River/Tarbot valley and you will not believe the view until you see it yourself. The food is delicious and the dining area is beautiful over seeing the rolling hills of the Cape Breton highlands. You may even get to see multiple hummigbirds as you dine!We had our wedding party stay here and we could not have been happier with them

The food quality, presentation and portions were perfect. All made with as close to local ingredients as possible. We went there for a breakfast and ended up going back for an evening meal and another breakfast before leaving the area. I hope we make it back again. The host Holgar and chef Bettina are warm and engaging with a passion for their food and providing a top quality product for their customers. Not to be missed if you're doing the Cabot Trail and worth a side trip if you have time when driving the TCH through Cape Breton (approx 20 minutes from St. Anns)

From the moment you drive onto the property, you will know that this dinner will not be like any other. It feels like you’ve been invited into a friends home, yet you’re served a Michelin star quality feast. This truly was one of the best highlights on our first trip to Cape Breton! It is 1000% worth the trip!!!
