Courtyard by Marriott Calgary Airport

Very nice newer hotel, rooms are a good size and very clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. I have stayed in the attached sister hotel as well and several conferences in their conference center. There was another group doing a conference that were pretty noisy but hotel staff were quick to get them to move into their conference room instead of the foyer. The pool and gym are nice and they have a barrel sauna that was a nice perk. I booked a few months in advance and got a decent rate, the hotel tends to fill up fast and rates go up as the hotel fills up. The lunches and snacks provided by the hotel for the conference have been pretty good. I would stay here again.

Much better facilities than any courtyard I’ve been to in USA. Amazing pool, fitness room and outdoor sauna barrel. All the staff is classy and friendly. A very civilized experience except corporate Marriott forces loud depression pop music in every public area. Luckily the front desk was nice enough to turn it off in pool area but it would be better to have a quiet environment IMO. Also a nice surprise, they didn’t let Marriott install the toxic chemical fragrance “signature scent” in their HVAC system. That’s worth 5 stars to not get sick from toxic indoor air. Marriott, please use this hotel as model for US ones and get ride of the noise and air pollution from the U.S. ones.

The hotel is very well maintained and should really be rated as a 4 star hotel. Jaswinder at the reception gave us a very warm welcome. She is very accommodating and provided us with exceptional customer service. She took care of arranging a shuttle to drop us off at the airport

I had booked this venue for my Wedding. We had both Rehearsal Dinner, Ceremony & Reception. Highly recommend this location to host your wedding! From Sales, Event Coordinator, Rooms Controller, to Food & Beverage and Accounting...they all created a seamless and smooth transition throughout the day! They also very much have value add for your dollar! Thanks Marriott for the great experience!

I love this hotel so much!! I’ve stayed here a number of times and it’s always such a great experience. The staff are fantastic! So nice and friendly. The lady who checked me in remembered me from another time I stayed here (almost a year ago) and we had a lovely chat. It’s things like that that make me love this hotel and keep me coming back. I won’t stay anywhere else when I find myself in Calgary.

Rooms are decent, but service is minimal. Expect cleaning every 3rd day or so. I mean they'll tell you when you check-in, so it doesn't come as a surprise (good business practice). But my personal opinion is that they just cut down on service. Also found them pretty strict with their policy - I had to early check out but still had to pay for the night. Usually I what talk the front desk and they would accommodate but not this time. Anyhow, they got decent location and rooms are newly renovated.

Friendly and courteous staff. The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The location near the airport is very convenient, and free parking is a plus. The on-site restaurant serves a nice selection of tasty meals. I make it a point to stay here whenever I visit Calgary.

Modern and clean place with nice ambiance. Did not use on-site bistro bar. Were given some coffee/latte and/or specialty coffee voucher for being Bonvoy Elite member. Didn't wanted to use that asked reception to give us few water bottles instead and they denied! He said it's Bonvoy.

Hotel desk staff was somewhat nice and that’s why this gets 2 stars and not 1. The middle aged man in the breakfast restaurant was very unfriendly and was giving me a hard time because I was ordering something from the kids menu that wasn’t even for me. Saying “ it’s only for kids 12 and under” not sure why someone would ask those types of questions especially in a big chain and not knowing if there is a child with me on the trip. It’s very bad business practice. No patron should be asked those types a questions when ordering food somewhere it’s very off putting.

In the name of the Calgary Stampede they have jacked up the prices to no extent. Not a problem, but make sure you give that price point service and quality. The staff are doing their best. 1-10, will give them a 5. Breakfast at $70.00 for 2 people is not worth it. Hawaii is cheaper and better food quality. I would give the hotel negative 1 for this.
