They did a fantastic job. fixing my near useless cordless Dyson. It has a new lease of life and is as good as new. They repaired it the same day and for a very reasonable rate.Their sewing machines and supplies are also excellent. My wife shops there and tells me that she can always find what she needs and they give her fantastic advice.

They fixed my machine on the spot! I brought it in just after lunchtime to take a look at my misaligned needle which kept causing needles to break and made changing the needle endlessly fiddly. Within 15 minutes, my machine was fixed for a very fair price, and he even threw in a pack of new needles. Great service! I'm so grateful.

Brought my vaccum to get fixed. The vaccum itself worked but only the carpet attachment was failing. The guy kept it for over a week then called me and told me that replacement parts were no longer available. I called the manufacturer and they said they had the part. I Went to get my vaccum back after ordering what was needed only to find that this guy had broken the vaccum while putting it back together.Now I have to buy a new vaccum. I would recommend against going to this place for any repair.

Marina was extremely helpful in finding me a long shank zigzag presser foot for my newly acquired vintage Viking sewing machine. I also wanted a zipper foot and she sold me one and said I could return it if it didn't fit. The zigzag foot worked perfectly but the zipper foot didn't align properly with my needle. I brought it back and Marina was very helpful in trying to understand why it didn't align. She replaced the earlier one and added that she would order another if this one didn't work. I was delighted to find that it fit perfectly. One word of caution though, make sure you call and ask when the person you need will be there, otherwise you may make the trek there and find that the person you want is out.Thank you Marina for your kind assistance !!!

This is such an excellent sewing and supply shop, it's now my go to place for supplies!I bought my sewing machine here and it is a fantastic machine. The owners of the shop always help me with any questions I have and I'm a beginner so I have lots of questions!There is handy parking right beside it also.

Don't forget to shop local! I had been looking all over for a replacement belt for my 4-year old Bissell PowerClean and had no luck online or even with the manufacturer, oddly. Then I remembered this neighbourhood shop. Bloor Sewing Machine & Vacuum had the exact part I needed and at an incomparable price. Service was amazing including some tips on how to install the belt and how to ensure it lasts as long as possible. Should have gone there first and definitely will next time. Thanks!

The owners are both very kind and knowledgeable. They have fixed and tuned many machines for me, within a few weeks, depending on the season. Also, recently after tuning my mom's machine, we had an issue with the plug blowing out a few months later (my fault probably) and he was willing to fix it on the spot, for next to nothing. Not cheap, but fair, and he has many years of experience and I trust him. Highly recommend this business :)

I'm so glad I found this place. Not only did they fix my machine, it works better than ever. The owners are also really nice and incredibly helpful. I love that they sell notions and other sewing supplies. I highly recommend them.

Just had my scissors sharpened there and they did a great job! It's so hard to find anyone in the city that sharpens scissors, and I'm really pleased with the results. Very fair price as well! Thank you!!
