So, not even a week ago i went in to get a female budgie, i left with two. I asked about a guarantee and they said they dont give one. Interesting.. I then asked how long they keep them for and the lady said 3 days." that is not enough time to tell if a budgie is ill or not but okay. I purchased them and upon getting them home i notice one has a neurological issue and the other one holds its tail weird. (I have multiple other birds so i can tell when something is wrong). The one with the neurological issue has a head tilt

This is a great store! The staff are extremely knowledgeable and they all care for the animals with passion. We adopted two dogs last year at the Bark event and the staff have helped us with all of our questions regarding our dogs. The store is always clean and well stocked.

I just adopted a kitten from this store and the staff were so great and helpful, especially Ellie! the adoption process was very smooth and all of the employees are so kind and knowledgeable! definitely recommend going to this store for any of your animal needs!

Do not take your pets to be groomed here. Last night we got our dogs nails done there. We typically go somewhere else but needed a quick appointment. Well that was a colossal mistake. The groomer clipped my dogs nails way too short and hit her quick. Sure I understand that can happen sometimes. But it was the fact that they lied and hid it from me. When they brought her back out to me they told me how great she did and how well she sat. She wasn’t bleeding when we left so clearly they stopped the bleeding temporarily. Completely unaware of the situation I dropped my dog off at home and took my kids to buy some shoes. When I came home my house was covered in blood and she was profusely bleeding from her nail. All over my furniture and my area rugs and my deck is now stained with blood. When I called the store, their response was for me to come in and purchase products from them. You’re kidding right?! They completely denied hitting her quick. I had two vets and another groomer look at her and they all agreed her quick was hit, they must have temporarily stopped the bleeding and whatever clot was formed in that short amount of time must have unlodged when I took her home. She’s an old dog and not very active. So it did not take much to get the bleeding going again. She was also supposed to get a file done with her nail trim. When they brought her back out to me they said they would do the file next time because it was her first appointment there. ORRRR they didn’t do the file because they knew it would cause the bleeding again. I would have been so much more understanding about them clipping her and causing an injury had they communicated and been honest. I would not have left her home alone. We are now on day two of bleeding, my deck is completely ruined, I am now trying to vigorously remove blood out of my furniture and rugs. And my poor dog won’t stop bleeding. All of that could’ve been avoided if they were honest and communicated with me so that I could have taken care of it before it ruined my stuff on top of hurting my dog. The manager called me the next morning and yes he apologized. I now have a $20 gift card for their store. How generous of them? Seriously take your pets anywhere else.

Ellie lied on our second adoption application saying that our first adopted cat is an outdoor cat due to going on our 1200 square foot porch twice, being carried back in. First in line, we were denied suspiciously. After questioning Ellie, she claimed that we told her that the cat lives outside which is a lie. Our five year old daughter was crushed. This person is clearly disturbed/mentally unsound. Each pet that we have, have their own bedroom, a loving family and everything they could possibly need.Having such employees will cost the store more than the employee earns.

The staff are always really, really helpful and knowledgeable about the products. I trust them completely.Plus they really seem to like our new puppy Wednesday!

We’ve been bringing our two Golden’s to this store for grooming and all other purchases for 4 years now and every experience has been wonderful. Isabel is so kind and patient with both my dogs and they always come out looking fantastic. She’s very communicative if she’s notices anything we should keep an eye on, especially with my boy as he has severe allergies.I can’t say enough good things about Isabel and the whole Vansickle PetValu staff and their commitment to providing top tier service to every customer that comes through the door.
