Such a fun store. Wish I lived on the island so I could visit it more often.

Prices have gone up. Check out similar plants at Walmart or Canadian Tire. I understand everyone needs to make a buck and COVIDs tough. But at $99. for a pair of slippers I'll shop around. Women's clothing area is larger now and better organized. Lovely stuff but definitely not as many unique curios. That said it's Christmas so maybe the New Year will be different.The same staff are lovely and happy with the new management. The store is big box" now and has lost its uniqueness. I miss the old Art Knapp's."

Monday June 26, 2023My husband caught the ferry to Courtenay from Powell River and drove straight to Gardenworks Courtenay. He arrived at 10 am as he was looking for a 6ft Emerald cedar tree to replace one that had died in our hedge.He was unaware that the previous day they had a 50% off sale on these cedar trees. The 50% sale sign was still posted on the trees and when he asked the outdoor employee about the trees, she contacted someone in the store who told her that they would not honour the sale price. She quickly removed the sign before he had a chance to take a picture and ask that they honour the posted price. He only wanted one lousy tree. This nursery has a price of $ 88.00 per tree (a total rip off to start with) and so he thought that $ 44.00 per tree was an ok price. Still more than what Coscto sells them for.He left very discouraged and was thinking that there is a consumer law about posted sale signs on products in businesses.He understands how they would have forgot to remove the sign, but at 10 am Monday morning and the sale was yesterday, why couldn't they have honoured the sale for one tree and made a very happy customer ? Now he vows never to return.Shame on you Gardenworks Courtenay for saving $ 44.00You can't buy bad advertising that cheap !!!!

Love this garden centre. The plants are all healthy, wide variety & for the quality, value for money. I could spend a fortune on the beautiful pots & garden ornaments they have. A wide range of everything for the garden in one spot. Staff are very friendly & helpful.

The return policy is only two weeks which isn’t customer friendly at all. I won’t be back to buy anything at the business. I bought a housecoat for my wife that has nice soft material on the outside and raw scratchy material on the inside.

So over priced, temperature in the building was over 30 degrees celcius. Felt so sorry for the employees working under those conditions, especially since it's against the law to have people work at those temperatures. Sorry to see Art Knapps gone.

Amazing staff excellent advise super friendly to me and my dog don't go anywhere else other centers would not let me bring my dog they gave her treats have bowls of fresh water and signs saying bring your animals in please

Awesome selection of pony plants

This is a gardeners and plant lovers paradise!! Got me a hairy cactus, adorable jelly fish hanging succ, and all my starter garden supplies. Will be back :)
