Bowness Animal Hospital

I can't say enough good things about Bowness Animal Hosptial. They are kind, patient, gentle, and knowledgeable. The vet and staff broke down pricing for us and gave us several options for our older dog who was in need of surgery, and thanks to that we were able to make an informed decision and prepare. She was well taken care of by the team and we felt she was in the best hands. 10/10.

Extremely professional, gave us 3 quotes for surgery on our elderly dog to allow us to make the best informed decision. Kept us in the loop on surgery day, and were very reassuring and confident about the whole procedure. The vet and all the staff were kind and wonderful to our little friend. Absolutely fantastic job, would highly recommend to anyone wanting the best care for their animal.

Wonderful! The staff here are compassionate and lovely. They clearly do this “job” for the love of animals. I recently put down my 15 year old dog and they were absolutely fantastic. Gave me all the time to say goodbye and even called to check in the next day. Simply the absolute best vet clinic I’ve ever been to. My other dog was diagnosed with cancer and the vet himself calls to check in with how he is doing. All vet clinics should care the way they do here.

We’ve been taking our Shih Tzu Roscoe here for the past 4 years. Everyone we’ve dealt with at the front desk to the the vet himself, have all been lovely and professional. They all clearly love animals and are passionate about their work. The cost is very reasonable and the location is close to home. Roscoe also loves the liver treats that flow like candy!

We moved to Calgary last year. We are so lucky to have found this clinic. They are so attentive, patient, and caring. We've had positive experiences with the entire team! They take the time to explain things. Their costs are super reasonable and they don't try to sell you unnecessary things. I'm always truly impressed by the care they provide to our Mojo.

Dr. Jasmine was very kind, humble, honest and carries a very calming energy. The techs/support staff were very kind and honest to my puppy and I as well. The fee was also reasonable. They took us in as new clients when my puppy needed urgent care. As long as I am living in Calgary, I will be going to Dr. Jasmine and her team from now on. Thanks ladies!

I've been bringing my puppy here ever since I got her, and this place has been VERY accommodating even when I was late to her vaccination appointment. After a few months, it's clear that they care about the animals above most things. If you have an animal, I'm sure you won't regret bringing them here.

The staff at Bowness Animal Hospital are amazing. Kind, loving & knowledgable. They go out of their way to treat their animal patients with great care. Also very good with us pet parents.Dr. Ché Varsek is wonderful, and takes great care. Our dog Harley isn't the easiest to deal with, but the Dr & hospital staff put him at ease.I trust them, and both our cat & dog have had surgery there. It feels so good to know my babies are being taken care of.Thank you!

I took my 10 month in for some shots, and not only did they upsell me on more shots, which made the bill triple somehow, my pup is now sick from their clinic, and I know this for a fact, because he hasn't been around any other dogs or our to a park or walk since. He's having breathing problems and they want to charge me again just to listen to his chest, from an illness from their clinic!!! Its atrocious. Anything for more charges. They don't care. My other dog which has since passed, (2 weeks after a visit to this clinic) became very ill and died soon after a visit to this clinic just from an exam!They don't clean properly. Be very wary. I wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone.

This vet clinic does not deserve 1 star. I never write reviews as such but feel compelled to do so arising from the the very unprofessional treatment of the first responder on the telephone today with my wife, and previously her ignorance and unprofessionalism had a chance to rear its ugly head with myself in a conversation. Further more the raised voice and attempted domination of the phone conversations at both juncture's as listed above were inacted by the employee in question and she felt it was her duty to enlist the lies on the animal care platform that all Vets can see which was 100% all lies. I will not ever recommend anyone to bring their loving pets to such a calus operation as such and recommend at the very least to fire the unprofessional front line staff..This review is written by a long time professional member of the Bowness community with over 30 yrs of pleasant interactions with all professional groups alike. It is so sad to see our once friendly community be infiltrated by the likes of this sort of thing.
