By far one of the best Hardware stores with regard to ordering via telephone during the lockdown. The staff went out of their way to help and did an amazing job.HH is generally a little more price wise than bigger hardware stores, but their location relative to where we live outweighs the extra costs. Its a smaller store with narrow aisles so be prepared to give way and follow the store directions. Shelves are stocked and it has been rare to not find what I needed.

The staff is amazing; knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The store is clean and orderly with a good selection of products. They also are dog friendly and have a ready supply of doggy treats. Love this store.

They never seem to have anyone with experience in the store. Shelves are not kept full. Talk too much to each other and ignore customers.

employee at customer service desk (wearing black pro shirt) made it pretty obvious that he was in a bad mood because of technical problems with his system. After they overcharged me, he made no effort to help....passed the problem over to another employee and pretended I was not standing in front of him at the desk.

Good day, everyone. I was compelled to give my review on one of your staff workers. I believe his name is Ben. Oh boy, he's a good looking one, I was blinded by his looks and that comes from a guy. Anyway, great worker, professional and super friendly and I might visit you just for him. I might as well wait for him after his shift. *wink wink*

The yard manager is very proficient with his hose!!!

My local home hardware Deka, TOP NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! MAGNIFIFCENT MIKE that brought me out paint colour charts the other day when I had become frustrated trying to find them online with bigger box stores. Also, SUPERB SHANNON who I just got off the phone with and she couldn't be more polit and helpful, thank you Shannon, your an absolute delight! This is the way to staff a GREAT store that folks want to shop at, even in these difficult times. I encourage folks to support their local hardware store DEKA.

I don't make it habit of writing reviews but as a 30 years in business owner, I felt compelled to write this one. People have bad days, I understand that and more people complain then compliment I understand that too. I had hoped that my and my wife's experience with the staff working here was a one or two off days but living in the Bay for 15 years we find it is a common occurrence. 2019 flood my wife wants to return a pump we didn't end up using. There's a tall lanky man on the phone to someone about inventory. My wife is standing there for what seems a very long time. Instead of getting someone to help her or excusing himself to the person on the phone and doing something he instead turns his back on her. A couple of days later I'm in getting fittings to connect a new pump, the other had died and caught fire, I was in a hurry as my home was filling with water. There were 2 girls doing inventory beside me complaining about their arduous task at hand I was there 15-20 minutes trying to find what I needed and not hearing a peep from these people who are paid to assist customers, who pay the money that will eventually end up in their hands as an income. Then I needed some hose, so as I approached the counter of 4 employees busily chatting with each other I caught the eye of one of them and made my request. He approached packages of coiled hose facing the counter did a trial fit and exclaimed, sorry that's all we have.Another one of the group exclaimed, what about the hose in aisle so and so, where I was taken. With no obvious product on displayed except for samples attached he told me he guessed they were out. If the other staff hadn't have heard him I would have had to make a drive to Home Depot, taking an extra hour out of my day as my house was filling with water. Bottom line the staff here are lazy, misinformed and treat the jobs more as a venue to chit chat then for what they're getting paid for and this appears to be the norm even with some of the senior staff. One last thing I wish to add, there is one young lad there who is truly helpful and will go out of his way to see you get what you came in for, he may even work in the back area but seems to know the inventory there, I wish I knew his name but I'll be sure to thank him next time I NEED time I'm there.

Friendly knowledgeable staff. Full of useful hardware. Paint and stains can be coloured to order. Lots of lumber. they can special order and they can deliver.
