Microtel by Wyndham Casselman

During the horrendous Christmas storm, we got stranded because of the road conditions which were beyond dangerous! Complete whiteout! We had a baby and microtel staff put us in their staff room since the hotel was fully booked. They provided free food and drinks! Just amazing! Cannot thank them enough for their kindness! You probably literally saved our lives that night! We will definitely stay there next time we go to Ottawa!

I recently stayed here for work and was not impressed at all.The shower curtain did not go to the bottom of the shower and would flood the bathroom. Good thing the bathroom had a floor drainOn my second night, something in my room started periodically beeping. Every minute or so i would get a fairly loud beeping sound. This made it very difficult to sleep, good thing i had earplugs. I called the front desk and they didn't know what to do about it and seemed to have no interest in rectifying the problem either. The following day it was fixed, but i still got a terrible nights sleep that night thoughThe breakfast was beyond terrible. Basically, cereal, beans, and packaged oatmeal was it.My co workers room was the size of a walk-in closet. Maybe i should start renting my walk-in closet for $200 a night.I will never stay here again

Unsure of anything there. Arrived late at 8 pm to see if room was available. Staff was almost reluctant to look. Nice looking place but was finally quoted over $200 a night. I felt they could not be bothered with me with their cold response and service. I highly do not recommend this microtel location. I left and got a room elsewhere for much lower cost, friendly service and probably same comforts. Truly disappointed in this microtel

We got stranded on xmas due to road closures. The night staff was nothing but warm and welcoming. They took us in and went above an beyond for my family, and everyone else that got stranded. That’s also after the maintenance man had been working since 6am and stayed overnight to help everyone: on his weekend off.The staff we dealt with clearly put their heart in their work and it comes out in the way they treat their patrons.

Great hotel. Kind and personal staff. Good breakfast. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Working thru relocating and as such, have spent several two week stays. The hotel is clean, very central location in eastern Ontario and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Huge Thanks to Michelle who went out of her way to help me deal with a challenge 4000 km away with patience and support. Always smiling and easy going, she makes you feel welcome and appreciated. It’s because of people like her I will continue to plan my extended stays here in Casselman. Well Done!!

Excellent stay. Stayed when power went out because of ice storm. They found us a room with very short notice and rooms were quiet and nice even though the building was full.

Hotel lost power for 2 days, no heat no lights, couldn’t see down the hall way.No breakfast included.Fire alarm went off the entire time.No refund and no discount on my 2 night stay.No generator.

Excellent and friendly staff. Clean and spacious rooms. The breakfast muffins are awesome and the manager treats you like family. 10/10 would stay here again!

The company I work for and 10 other guy had stayed at this hotel for 5 weeksA couple guys and I had double shifts the entire five week. The hospitality that I received by the hotel specifically the night shift Sofia and Caroline was bar none some of the bestWe would get in early morning from an extremely long shift and if we wanted a juice or coffee or a breakfast item it would always be out and ready for usI asked Sofia I thought breakfast started a half hour later and she replied that she knows when we get back and she was setting up early for usSo I thought to myself that’s real hospitalityIt’s only one or two of us coming in at that time and Sofia or Caroline did this for usVery pleased with my experience here
