We attended recently for the Alsatian night after many years. I like the place, calm and subdued atmosphere. Simple decoration it is comfy. Staff very good and helpful. Food was excellent and done well. Expensive wine list the cheapest one around $90 I thought they need to have more affordable wine around $60 to $75.

I visited Le Crocodile about a week ago on a weekday evening for dinner or we ordered appetizers, a main, and dessert. The last time I had been here was almost 4 years ago when there was a tasting menu present. I still remember awkwardly saying that the sorbet I had was the best part of the tasting menu, 4 years ago. The tasting menu has been removed now, but we got a complementary pear sorbet to my surprise which was still incredible.Food was good. Service was friendly, but unbelievably slow. We came for dinner right at opening for evening service when we were essentially the only people in the restaurant, and we sat at an empty table for 5-10 minutes twiddling our thumbs before being given a menu. Food came out really slowly. The process of getting a dessert, getting our bill, and subsequently paying for the bill put me to sleep with how slow it was. I can see why the seating times are 2.5hrs when service is so slow, which is tragic.

I visited this restaurant to celebrate my birthday, and it was an excellent choice. Every dish had a special and unique taste, and our server, Brian, provided me with friendly food explanations and top-notch service throughout the meal. His service, escorting me out after the meal, was a really nice touch and the best service I've ever received. He was professional, and I was genuinely happy. I hope to receive this kind of service again on my next visit.

Incredible food, service and ambiance. Always a must visit when in Vancouver with the familyScallop and lobster tempura dish is a must try. Duck with fois gras and pan seared scallops are so so good! Love the white asparagus special as well. The frites, pear sorbet and crocodile chocolate bites afterwards is the cherry on top of the whole experienceYou truly feel the traditional french dining experience from start to finish. Great wine selection as well and they are very accommodating

A very good meal where the flavours blend very well together. The tartare was excellent as was the onion tart and the classic tomato soup. Lamb shank was very good and scallops very fresh. My only displeasure was the souffle as it was not light and airy. It was very foamy and had strong egg taste unless to mixed it with the creme anglais. Service was impeccable. We very much enjoyed the dinner and will be returning in the future.

Absolutely phenomenal food and service every time! I recently celebrated a birthday here and brought my own cake. The hostess advised that there would be a plating fee of $4.50 per person. Fair enough, it is a hassle for the restaurant to deal with this. They plated the cake and used piping to decorate the plates with chocolate and caramel swirls. They also garnished the plate with mint and whipped cream! Wow! So impressed. The food of course was fantastic.

Fantastic place with top-notch service. Since the moment we entered until we left, everything was great. We visited at the first time of the evening and it looked like they had an issue in the kitchen, which was quickly and gently solved by the staff offering some appetizers to the whole restaurant. We tried the mushroom soup, the braised lamb, a featured turbot fish with pasta, orange creme brûlée and profiteroles. They were all exceptional, except for the fish that we felt it missed something. But still not enough to not give a 5 star to this place.

Food was excellent! The appetizers of fresh foie-gras and escargots were tasty! The veal medallions and rib eye were all so flavourful! Love the ambience although it was a tad bit noisy as tables were close to each other. Would definitely be back!
