Came here when it was udon season, and the tempura was delicious. They gave us a plate to put our tempura in so it wouldn’t get soggy when you pour the sauce/soup on top of your rice/noodles. The flavours were good, and I loved the tempura soft boiled egg. I wish the tempura was a bit crispier, but overall, I was happy with my meal.

quick efficient service in a modern yet cozy setting.really enjoyed the bowl, was filling and not too greasy unlike some other places. chawanmushi was perfect for a cloudy day

A Vancouver must have! If you like tempura, of course. If that's not your thing-- we can't be friends. The egg is mindblowingly delicious! They have udon too now. Specialty drinks are really special. Great for a date, hang out, families, friends, friends who want to date but haven't have that conversation yet! You know the ones.

I was very excited to try this place because I love tendon but it's really hard to find a good place where the tempura is fresh and crispy. We went on Sunday for lunch and the place was relatively quiet. The decor of the restaurant is very pretty and aesthetically pleasing".We ordered the combo with Kohaku Tendon plus the chawanmushi. They were also doing BOGO banana milk. The Kohaku tendon came with 2 shrimp

I was really surprised at how delicious and non greasy their food was. They had great portions and nothing was soggy despite it being on rice. Some sorcery this restaurant does! I’d definitely recommend this to more people near town.

One million stars for this place. We were actually headed to another restaurant and this pulled us in. The decor was beautiful, the serving dishes were traditional pottery style (no plastic in sight) and there were some (not a huge amount) of vegan options. I opted for the shrimp and vegetables udon, but navy fingers opted for the river base. Don't forget to order some salad with your main: it was delicious. This place is amazing.

The food was delicious! The tempura was crispy and the sauce that goes with it compliments the crunch. Hope they open a location in Toronto! It would do well there!

So crunchy tempura come with spicy sauce …ohhhh I’ve loved Japanese foods in Canada already. Not only that,I’ve had better days because of this Strawberry Cheese Cake. Awesome cheesecakes. Not too thick or sparse. Flavours aren’t spot on cloyingly sweet. I can't get enough of their Cheese cake. The staff is really nice and well trained.The miso soup is wonderful too.

Welcoming hospitality and speedy service. The food was authentic, fresh, and tasty. The Tempura portion is almost too much (which is excellent). Matcha soft serve ice cream was very rich, even a bit of bitterness, not too sweet, and tasted great. I enjoyed the experience and will be back.

Excellent experience! The tempura udon is really good with a cool presentation. Loved the salmon salad topping and steamed egg as well. The melon milk is way too sweet though.
