I was looking to get a necklace made for a Christmas gift and with only 2 weeks till the day worried about time line and if I would find someone to to handle such a rush job with excellence. Design By Sevan really succeeded with getting rid of my worries and fulfilled my exact expectations. My girlfriend will love the new necklace and I feel it is even more special now thanks to the amazing and personal experience I had with Sevan! Thank you always!

For years, I have researched different local jewelry designers across North America, and Design by Sevan caught my attention because of how he learned to make jewelry as a child and moved to Canada with little money in his pocket. I knew I wanted to support his business and have him create my engagement ring.I set up a virtual appointment because my partner and I are doing a medical residency in the US. I emailed him beforehand to inquire about a few things, but he did not answer that email which was the first red flag. During the consultation, he did not ask us our names or anything about us, to gather a sense of the timeframe of when we would like this ring completed by, or any deposits to be paid. After the consultation, I wrote him another email notifying him that we booked a trip to Toronto for the purpose of the engagement ring and would like to set up an appointment in person. We did not receive any response.This business is completely unreliable.I would not recommend Design by Sevan to my colleagues, friends, and family.

What an incredible experience from start to finish, Sevan is master at his job! He knew what I needed right away, and gave the best advises and suggested great diamond and ring! I could trust him easily with the whole process! Everything was seamless and done on time! He is a the best to work with! My Fiance loved the ring and was shocked on how beautiful it was! I decided to choose Sevan to make my now-fiance's engagement ring, and I can safely say it is an absolutely stunning piece of jewelry and it looks beautiful on her finger. Above all else, I value Sevan's honesty, knowledge, and candidness-- Sevan is excellent at making connections with people and setting expectations properly. Through him, the process of finding the right diamond and ring was demystified. I worry about the volume of work on Sevan's shoulders due to his popularity, but it certainly hasn't resulted in a sacrifice of quality of what he produces. I would highly recommend Sevan to anyone looking to have help in finding the right diamond *and* building their dream ring all in one place.

I had a design idea in mind for a custom engagement ring (and now wedding ring) and Sevan guided me through some options and ideas, which resulted in an incredible ring that my fiance loves. The process was seamless and included diagrams and quick responses. We couldn't be happier with the rings. To top it off Sevan was a friendly and supportive partner throughout. We asked Sevan to design for us our engagement ring and our wedding bands. The rings are beautiful and the craftsmanship is of the highest quality. We really love them. We continuously get compliments on the rings.It was a real pleasure working with Sevan. He took the time to explain to us what to look in a diamond and was very patient with us. I recently got engaged and it was very important for me to get a truly special ring for my fiancé.However, I approached this whole process with a certain level of anxiety because of everything I’d read online. Because of this fear, I spent days scouring through online blogs and internet forums to try and educate myself to ensure that this didn’t happen to me.What did I learn from this experience? I wish I had just gone to Sevan from the very beginning!Due to my aforementioned skepticism, I selected what I thought was the perfect stone and bought it from an online retailer. From all my research, I thought I got a great deal! However, the stone that arrived was not anywhere close to the quality promised by the retailer and what was written on the accompanying certificate. What’s more, there was a crack at the bottom of the stone that wasn’t even mentioned on the “independent third-party lab report.” Not only did Sevan catch these massive problems, but when the company started giving me a hard time about processing the return, it was Sevan’s advice that ultimately ended up helping me get my money back.However, that’s not all: After I got my refund and went back to Sevan to purchase a comparable stone, he actually ended up SAVING me a substantial sum of money compared to the original retailer. Furthermore, he helped me design a one of a kind custom hand engraved band in record time.My fiancé loves the ring and comments on its brilliance and design often.Thanks for making this truly one of a kind ring for me Sevan!

My fiancé and I couldn't recommend Sevan more! We had an idea for a design that I saw online but that would have incurred thousands of dollars of international shipping fees had we purchased it from that company. So we asked Sevan if he could recreate that design and he was more than happy to, even giving us suggestions about how to modify the design here and there so that all the side diamonds and main diamond sparkle brilliantly. He also educated us on diamonds and which Cs are most important and how to get good value for our budget. He was not pushy or salesy at all, always leaving the final choice up to us, and we never felt pressured to purchase anything from him. But he clearly knows what he's talking about and has so much experience so we felt comfortable designing the ring with him. The diamond also has a serial number in it visible under microscope so we could always see that it was the same diamond we chose. Both my fiancé and I are so happy with the final ring and so happy we went with Sevan! 10/10 highly recommend!
