cottage is new，river is beautiful, staff is friendly and helpful.But they don't have wifi. Water pressure could be stronger.

Excellent newly renovated camp unit. Friendly Northern hospitality. Family friendly environment. Hope they finish the highway 69 restructuring soon so you can get there faster.

Beautiful friendly People at Camp, And it was great spending time in the Lake!!

First, they overbooked us and offered the owner's backyard. They only offered us 15 amp from the house extension cord and water from his garden hose. The 5km ride on the dirt road should've been an indication of the terrain. The camp was perched on a hill and the sites were very small. We did not stay overnight as we were displeased with the whole experience.

My family and I know this place simply as “camp”. Our kids have fond memories of catching tadpoles and frogs, swimming to and off the docks, boat rides, tube rides, paddle boarding, diners and BBQs with the family, hikes, and sunny days on the beach. Flat Rapids Camp means more than just a camp ground to us.... it has created experiences which are etched into our family’s history which will follow us for ever. It is a place where our family, old friends, new friends, and Distant relatives come together to meet up. Come experience the French River and the environment through Flat Rapids Camp, it is perfect for families.

For those who choose to live and built a new life in this country, in case you have decided to try to have a good time in this place, beware of the interrogation/questioning and being insulted for your decisions for your life, by the self described, patriotic, farm girl manager/grounds keeper/health care veteran. Good old Canadian beer seems to work well on this person to lose her inhibitions and reflect her views on people I described on top. Last checked it is a free country and we all should be feeling free, rather than being insulted or embarrassed for choosing or forced to live somewhere else in this world. In this campsite ,open to the public ,with a legally obtained citizenship, I paid to enjoy their amenities and services ,but I got targeted and verbally attacked. If this is accepted and allowed by the establishment , it should be advertised in their website so we the citizens, but the one's that obtained it later in our lives would go other places.

OK of a trailer park. The use of golf carts for getting from one place to another makes it noisy and hectic feeling. People don't really hold back for the consideration of others. I have never seen sooooo many deerflies. So, if you don't mind all of that, it offers a nice little beach with docking, lots of old trees and clean washrooms. If you need groceries, you better make the 60km run to Sudbury. If you want to dine out, you have to drive back to the French River trading post. I have not seen a playground for children.

My family and I went for 4 days, it was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and the park was clean and very well maintained. The fireworks on July 1st were fantastic. The swimming at the beach was perfect, my 7 year old and 3 year old just loved it. We forgot an extension cord and one of the managers of the park let us borrow her's so we didn't have to buy one. Pretty Great! We will defiantly be going back! :) I wrote this last year, it was all true, but trying to book again for this year, I got one response that they would get back to me and I said great let me know and never got anything again. So not sure if new management or maybe just too busy. Sad because it was a lovely park
