A Taste Of Home B&B

A Taste of Home, is just that and much more. The cozy, welcoming home you don’t want to leave. I had the pleasure of staying for an extended period of up to a month. Cookie made home cooked meals which appealed to my gluten and dairy sensitives. The meals were delicious and plentiful especially for lunches the next day. From the cooking to the delightful room and I felt welcomed from day one. There is no doubt you will grow to love Cookie and Shawn(if you have the pleasure of staying long term). If you are looking for a nice get away for a weekend or a long term place to rent: A Taste of Home is it!! You will not be disappointed with this hidden gem!

The host Cookie is the friendliest and not only accommodating to desired breakfast time but flexible to dietary needs and food items desired. Home baked additions like scones are a huge plus. I stayed here again on my return trip

This was our third time visiting and the welcome just keeps on getting warmer! Amazing rooms, very tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable beds. The meals are worthy of a 5 star hotel. Most of all the genuine friendliness of the hostess is unsurpassed. All this in Blind River!

We had a wonderful stay with Cookie in August. Despite a power outage in most of the town (beyond her control), she still managed to give us a beautiful breakfast spread including homemade granola and hot food. Her home is very clean and nicely decorated. I highly recommend this place.

I arrived at this charming bed and breakfast at around supper time and the aromas of the most wonderful stew was on the stove. I immediately felt at ease with the owner Cookie. It was clean and surpassed all my expectations.Such wonderful hosts and will be staying here again.

The owner was very nice and cooked a great homemade breakfast! I was leaving early, and she still insisted she make me breakfast. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

A wonderful treasure in Blind River, this B&B has it all. A welcoming host in Cookie, and a beautiful home that she and her husband share. This is everything a B&B should be. Breakfast is country-style, with home grown bacon and eggs, homemade scones, fruit, and more. Thank you Cookie for a wonderful visit!

Friendly, very welcoming host! Cookie made sure that we are very comfortable in our stay as soon as we arrived till the minute that we left. We had to leave very early in the morning and we offered to skip breakfast if its early. But she insisted to prepare very delicious and complete breakfast for us before we got the road again.I advise every one to stay here at Taste of Home B and B. It's much worth it.Thank you xookie!

Cookie was a very friendly and obliging hostess. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was a delight to sleep in. The house was wonderfully peaceful and quiet, despite the fact that a couple of other guests were staying there. It’s right on the highway, but the traffic noise wasn’t bad. The food was excellent. She made us a huge breakfast of eggs, back bacon, toast, and fried potatoes. My wife needs a special heart-friendly diet, so Cookie made something else for her. Lovely dining room, and the service as excellent. Wonderful value for the money, and I will stay there again whenever possible. The only limitation was that the bathrooms are shared, however, there are two of them for the guests and there are lots of towels, so it wasn’t really an issue for us. If you are particular about having your own ensuite, it might be an issue, but we were OK with it. This B&B was a nice oasis after the previous night, which was at a place that wasn’t so great.

We had a wonderful stay at A Taste of Home B&B. Cookie is such a warm and welcoming host, and made us feel at home right away. We were on the road all day, and she kindly accommodated our late arrival and even had freshly baked scones waiting for us when we got there! Cookie’s home is beautifully decorated, and the bed was so comfortable—just what we needed on our long road trip. Breakfast was delicious, and included farm fresh products, which we really enjoyed. I cannot recommend A Taste of Home enough! Thank you Cookie :)
