Had two have 2 dresses hemmed 2inches on each . Told the seamstress that I needed the dresses for a wedding on Saturday. IN MID SEPTEMBER ,not usual wedding season! which was 2 days, she said she didn't have enough time to do both dresses by then, asked her if there was another alteration place near by that I could check and she then told me and my 13 year old daughter to just put the dresses on and she would see how much needed to be hemmed. After she measured the hem she said she could do it and have them done by Friday. Great , I was so happy until she told me it would be $160.00!!! I didn't have time to go anywhere else. my dress cost only $150.00 and my daughters was only $ 90.00 !! I was taken aback but was out of time, so I paid it. couldn't take the chance that there was no other option close by as I don't drive. I felt she took advantage of us as she knew I needed this is 2 days for my oldest daughters wedding. will not be going back. They were not fancy dresses..no sequins, or any embelishments, just 2 normal hemmings.thank you.
