World Master Taekwondo Academy

My 9 year old daughter started at this school when she was around 5 and is now working towards her black belt. The instructors are knowledgeable and do push their students to be the best they can be. At the recent competition there were students from different schools and this is where we realized how big of a difference this school brings. WMTA's students were sharp, quick, strong in their movements and patterns, whereby students from other schools were all over the place (I saw some students moved to WMTA after the competition).My daughter likes her classes - she enjoys going to WMTA every day of the week and sometimes asks to stay for two classes. Even though the instructors are extremely strict and at times it seems as if it is impossible to get to the level they want their students to be, there is fun at times as well. My daughter is stronger than ever and I can see how this school transformed her to be the best she can be.I do recommend this school, but, at the same time, if you are there just to pass time, you won't like it. You have to be committed to go through the training to the end and expect challenges along the way - it is not easy.

I have my 10yr son and 8yr daughter taking training program at WMTA for almost 4 years and they love it. Over the years of program they earned their white belt, yellow belt, orange, green... finally black belt and they started to realize the color belt is not something they wear but someone they become! Very experienced teachers and well maintained facilities at WMTA. We highly recommend families who want to get their kids trained in minds, bodies and spirits.

Prior to joining my son at World Master, I was looking for an activity/school that would teach him more discipline. World Master Taekwondo advertises this, therefore I had chosen to enrol him. Though the school is slightly more strict than others, I have seen my son become more respectful and attentive to those around him.

I have multiple testimonies of individuals who have gone into this building weak, and come out as mentally and physically strong. If you want a life changer for your children, highly recommend this location. The intensity level is masterful, really just a no jokes type of place. MastaMoc (MMC we used to call him back in the day) was an introspective and really in-depth teacher, a really no-days off" type of guy. No pain no gain was his motto for life

I came to World Master Taekwondo in search of an activity to help my children build esteem, confidence, respect, discipline, and active listening. I can honestly say that this is the best thing I have invested in my children. They are more confident, happier, and doing better in life. The World Master Taekwondo instructors and Grand Master do an amazing job in teaching the students. The level of self-discipline they in-still into their children is phenomenal. Highly Recommended!

I trained here for 7 years starting back in 2007/2008ish (9-16) and was able to get my 2nd dan black belt. This place helped shape my childhood and helped me a lot with my discipline issues at the time, along with giving me confidence and a sense of achievement.They brought the best out of me, and inspired of love of martial arts/fighting that continues to this day). Not even shilling or anything, just want to show love to a place that helped me become the man I am today

This taekwondo school really works to train their students to be the best they can (in taekwondo and as a person). I was a former student at WMTKD, who had received my black belt and continued to train for several years. During black belt preparation, I was always told to come for more hours of training and was pushed to continue practicing even when I no longer wanted to. The training was intense, however, looking back now, it has taught me to push myself beyond my limits. Highly recommend it, if you are looking to grow physically and mentally

Was part of World Master Taekwondo growing up and achieved first dan black belt. Extremely positive experience. Definitely played a role in shaping my approach to life (discipline), foundational athleticism, and many more intangibles along the way. Recommend.

I went to the academy for almost a year and got my brown belt before my family moved to Pickering. I go to a new taekwondo school now in pickering but honestly it really depends if you want to work hard or have a relaxing class. At world master you basically learn taekwondo from beginning to the end when you take class. You have to do really well to learn more difficult things. At my new school, there’s lot more exercise and activities and half the amount of taekwondo. Let say you do a kick, you will be okay most of the time but at the old school, they will fix you fix you fix you until you do it nicely. The teachers are okay and they just want you to be a good kid and they are just doing their job. Another thing is that my old school used to have huge testings at a korean community center which was pretty cool. I am giving 4 stars because I had to move before getting a black belt.
