This place is amazing and so much better than Conan’s and worth the drive! I bought apple trees that have apples already in their first year and their selection is quite diverse. There’s a guy there named Conrad who is basically a walking plant encyclopedia and he’s super busy because everyone comes to him for advice, but if you have time to wait around and ask him questions he’s super helpful and has a wealth of knowledge. Love this place!

Excellent people help with all your gardening and landscaping needs. Super friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable.

Awesome local plant nursery. Great selection. Convenient spot for people who don't live in the city. Reasonable prices. Update (2023): still great.

Large variety to choose from, however buyer beware!! They will not follow through with their 1 year warranty on plants if they feel that you didn't care enough for the them. Last year I spent over $1000 plus on fruit trees and berry bushes for our property and was told they were warranted and high quality. Unfortunately, we had some berry bushes that didn't make it through after the winter, when I went to return and exchange them I was interagated on how l cared for them. They inspected and ripped through the plants and roots. They were very hesitant to return and exchange the 3 plants I brought back and would only exchange 2 out of the 3 plants claiming I didn't water them enough. I was pretty upset because last year I had bought the peat moss and bone meal they had suggested and followed the planting and watering reccomendations from an employee there. I truly feel like I did do everything in my power to care for the plants.  I felt pretty upset when they questioned and talked down to me for several minutes and because of this I won't be back.  $35 dollars is a lot of money to spend on a single berry bush and I wouldn't have bought them there if I knew I was going to be given a hard time for using the warranty. I will now be going somewhere else that sells berry bushes for half the price and that will always follow through with their 1 year warranty no questions asked!

Easily the nicest garden centre I have visited with a wide selection of a ton of different stuff. Lots of things I hadn’t seen elsewhere. Everything looked extremely well cared for.Spent a couple hours there deciding what to buy (not really knowing exactly what) and met with a larger gentleman who helped me figure out what tree would do best in my yard and then helped me with a number of questions I had on bunch of different garden related topics. He went out of his way to help. Five stars.. Great place!

Great selection of plants both annuals and perennials. They have plants that you cannot find everywhere. The staff are very knowledgeable and very helpful. The selection of trees and bushes is very extensive also. It's a gardener's paradise. Will definitely go back and recommend it to others.

Staff are not at all helpful, borderline rude. Over priced. Poor warranties. Much prefer Connons.

Looking for something a little different or a specimen plant then this is the place to go. The Root Cellar has a good selection of annuals, perennials and trees along with excellent prices and knowledgeable staff. Had I found this place earlier I would have bought all my plants here.
