Lake Ontario Dance Academy

My daughter loves going here. It’s her second family. The dance instructors take time to get to know the kids and work with them based on their personality. They go above and beyond being just dance instructors. They make accommodations and try to work around schedules and needs of the whole family. They have a great set of instructors who love kids and are flexible. Lake Ontario dance academy also has adult classes with amazing instructors and allow for the kids to “try” a class before they commit to it.

My two girls enjoying coming here I am asked Daily if there is dance. She is even very understanding with my oldest kid that has to come and sit with us that is autistic and she has never judged even if he has had a very bad day.

I signed my children up this past summer for a tumbling class. The owner was SO rude to my children. They were just beginning to be interested in dance ( ages 3 and 5) . They didn’t really understand what the instructor / owner was asking them to do. She kept repeating for them to do a roll. Both my daughter and son looked at her not understanding and she kept saying “ don’t you know how to roll?”rolling her eyes .It is in the top of the old Barbara Jean barn , there’s no air conditioning . Instead of cancelling a class during one of the hottest days of the summer she had these young children literally dripping with sweat - she should have cancelled class !I will NEVER. EVER EVER EVVVVVVVER. Go back there - this lady has absolutely NO patience for kids under 10.I watched her snap at another lady’s son- she never returned. The attitude from the owner to the children and parents was inexcusable , I’ve never been treated that way by a “teacher” before . Especially someone that is suppose to be “great with children” . She never had any set plans for the class , she just did whatever she thought of on the spot. SO not worth it .We recently switched to another dance studio and my children LOVE the instructor ( who asks them what they are interested in) and NEVER gives attitude or snaps at them. They are young and want to have fun.Good luck, with your rude attitude !

Great place family friendly atmosphere. Always something new and exciting going on.

I tan at Lake Ontario Tanning and I love it. The beds are great. I like that you can just walk in and don't need an appointment. The woman that runs it is wonderful.

I was referred to this place by a friend. at 1st it seemed ok. I took my daughter for a try-it" class for acro and the instructor/owner was very unorganized and rude. Kids from 3-9 were in the same group and she would get an attitude with the children if they couldn't do what she was asking. asking other parents to watch children as she did other things in the middle of the class. My daughter couldn't do a specific tumble and she scolded her in her 1ST REAL CLASS! She then asked ANOTHER PARENT to reach out to me to tell me that my child needed to shower before she came back to her "studio". which really is just an attic space with a couple of mats on the ground. with no windows
