Sleep and Dream

Recently, my father had purchased four beds for our new house. He visited a couple of stores before he became interested in Sleep and Dream after the mattress lady had misled him into purchasing the mattresses after lying about the quality and endurance of the mattresses and had simply promised to lower the price. She explained that she cared deeply about her customers and promised that his mattresses would have special care taken of them.My father paid the full amount of 980 dollars in advance but soon regretted ordering them and asked that she cancel the order. Rather than simply refund his money and act civil like any business owner should, she argued for a long time on the phone and continued to disrespect my father. After that, my father decided rather than to continue arguing with the already impolite owner, to simply continue through with the order.On July 30th, when her husband had come to deliver the beds, my father had realized that the quality of the beds were completely different from the beds that she had initially displayed to him for purchase. The mattresses were wobbly and unstable for any person to sleep on and the bed box was made of cardboard like material and immediately left marks when we pressed on it. We had told her husband clearly that we would be unable to sleep on those beds and he kept insisting that that was the best quality available. After my father complained, her husband rudely said that he would take it back if we wanted and shortly after left.My father then examined the beds for another 20 minutes and proceeded to call the mattress lady as he explained that the quality was completely cheap and unstable. He requested that he receive replacements, as the beds were not as described and the quality was clearly not good. Instead of dealing with her customers with respect she decided to argue for possibly 15-20 min and refused to give a refund or replace the entire beds but offered to ONLY replace the mattresses NOT the bed box. My father realized that over the phone she was being very rude and impatient and told her that he would visit her store and return the beds.On July 31st, my father paid 80$ for a Uhaul because the mattress lady refused to bring a truck to return the beds. When we reached her store, she immediately ignored our requests and kept repeating that she had made up her mind and that she would not give us a refund and only replace the mattresses. She continued to use every excuse possible and insisted the best was not the problem constantly insulting my father. My father kept explaining that he wouldn’t need a refund if she would simply provide beds that are not cheap quality and like the quality that she had initially described to him. After going back and forth for another 20 minutes, my father realized that the lady wasn’t going to refund or replace the beds completely and decided to ask for a partial refund where she could keep possibly 100 or 200 dollars and refund the rest of the amount. She kept declining to refund until she finally said that either she gets to pocket 480$ of the total amount of 980$ or we leave with the beds. My father took the cash and left for the moment because he realized there was nothing left to do against the woman.Now, my questions to both those who are reading this review and the owner:Why did she pocket 480$ of the total 980$ when we returned the all Mattresses, boxes and frames?Why is this type of return policy allowed in Canada?How long will the owner continue to lie about taking care about her customers until she is held responsible?We have a receipt for this transaction as proof to post, in case the owner says the same comments on other customers' complaints as FAKE reviews.

I purchased an upholstered bed from Sleep and Dream furniture store. The bed is beautiful and the price is excellent for the quality. Superb craftsmanship and outstanding customer serves. Great experience, and customer service. I custom ordered my couch set (gave them the image) and they matched Exactly what I wanted, selected the fabric and measurements! Also picked up a rug.The price is unbeatable. Delivery for custom order was two weeks. Highly recommend sleep and dream.

We have purchased a number of different products from Sleep and Dream over the years. Custom sectional (2017), recliner (2019), several area rugs, etc. Everything is well built and still looking like new, and the prices are always less than the big box stores!

My experience at Sleep and Dream could not have been better! The owners were extremely attentive, I spent a long time describing what I wanted and they worked hard to ensure we could make my vision come to life. On top of their attentiveness, they were kind people who were a genuine pleasure to speak with. The quality of the products I purchased were great, and they have definitely gained a loyal customer out of me. I had two antique armchairs reupholstered by Sleep and Dream and they look stunning. I selected and provided the fabric, but the workmanship and services were great. Particular thanks to Neelu, in the Pen Center, who was instrumental and extremely helpful throughout the process.

Can’t say enough good things about the quality of service we received here at the St Catherine’s location at Penn Center. We happened to walk by the store and saw a sign for upholstery so we popped in and spoke to Neelu and she quoted us from a picture we had on our phone of our barstools. We chose a fabric and 2 weeks later we had our 2 barstools back and took in the other 2 . The workmanship was excellent, we were very happy! We also recommended them to our friends and they were also extremely happy with the job they did for them. Good quality furniture is still worth getting re-upholstered. I met Neelu at her store after a random pop in. I showed her photos of 3 different couches that had certain things I liked about each of them.She worked with me to design a perfect custom couch that was an amalgamation /hybrid of the 3 couches I showed her. We picked out the fabric and dimensions and in 3 weeks as promised it was delivered and assembled in my living room. A quality Canadian made sectional with a 5 year guarantee and fair price As opposed to cheap overpriced Chinese garbage on wayfaire. I will be returning for an area rug and coffee table... Id post a pic of my couch on here but i dont want them to make another one for anyone else lol

The woman at the store was unbelievabley fantastic. She answered all our questions and gave wonderful advice. Prices are fantastic and quality is excellent. It was such a great experience that we took my father-in-law in and he has also purchased a new mattress.Thank you for everything and we recommend this store for anyone wishing to purchase home furniture.David

If I could give this place a 0 star I would. One of the worst experiences I had in my life was with this business. Absolutely a big regret and terrible place to get mattresses, mattress boxes and frames. The owner and her husband run this business and are very unorganized. They said they’ll deliver to our house and called to say that it won’t be possible. We had no place to sleep in the house so she came with a mattress for us to borrow for a day until we get the mattresses the next day. My back was hurting with the quality of the mattress she gave us. The next day when the mattress arrived, we clearly said we wanted all the mattresses and boxes to be the exact design.
