Theatrix Costume House

When I conduct business, I look for integrity, trustworthiness, excellence in product and service, and caring. Theatrix ticked all the boxes.I am a professional Santa and Grinch. I ordered two new custom built Santa outfits at Theatrix. They were upfront with me about the estimated time of delivery, which fortunately met my desired deadline. They sent pics of different fabric samples they found at suppliers. I went in person to Theatrix to make my final fabric selection. They subsequently did an initial fitting of the shell of the costumes, then another fitting and then final adjustments and detailed parts. When doing final adjustments and detailed parts, two seamstresses worked for over 6 hours, well into the evening, to complete the job so I could return that evening to Toronto with my two new outfits. The friendliness and enthusiasm of the staff was inspirational. I felt like I could trust them at all times. And, the final products have received rave reviews from my annual clients to whom I sent pics, and from family and friends across the country. Thank you everyone for your team effort and diligence. It is only July and you are already on Santa's nice list.

When our school decided to perform 'Sense and Sensibility', we knew one of the most crucial elements to the success of the production would be the costumes. Having worked with them before on 'A Christmas Carol' in 2018, I immediately thought to call Theatrix Costume House.What an amazing experience it is working with Gina and Theatrix to get the costumes ready for our theatrical productions! Not only was Gina a pleasure to work with, her and her team are exceptionally thorough. Aside from cast measurements, we had very specific criteria for this show; from the time period, to the colour palette, to a list of required accessories. Gina and her design team found (and created!) beautiful costumes for our entire cast.We were very fortunate to be able to perform our show before the rise of Omicron, and even though the cast was masked, the costumes transported everyone in the audience back in time to a place of escape. That's what theatre is all about and Theatrix helped make that a reality. The costumes were certainly the other stars of the show!

I have worked with Theatrix Costume House for many years. Gina and her team are so great to work with! They are very accommodating and flexible. The costumes are fantastic and really make my shows look so much better! I look forward to continue working with them on our future productions!

Was directing a period piece music video that needed 10 costumes. Had a wonderful experience with Theatrix. From the initial email and descriptions I sent, they pulled out several options for me to look at and it was ready on a rack when I arrived. The staff listened carefully and appropriately tagged each costume for the characters we needed, making pick-up and organizing “who wears what” on set so easy. The costumes look authentic and are well maintained. Drop-off was easy as well. Definitely recommend and will return.

I attended a Labyrinth themed event for Mothers Day earlier this year and really wanted to surprise my mom in full costume.The staff at Theatrix were super professional in helping make my vision come to life.My Mom absolutely loved it when she saw me and I got complements from everyone all night and free tickets for their next event!!!If you're looking for costumes this is the place to go!

This place is amazing. I needed a Napoleon costume and they did not disappoint! Staff are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and the costume was absolutely perfect, in both fit and design. We will definitely go back!!!

Did not have what I was looking for, which is fine, but the *extremely* hard sell on costumes that were in no way related to what I was looking for, and the subsequent attitude and snootiness given when I said that I didn't want them was not appreciated *at all*. Your desperation is showing, ma'am, and it's certainly not the customer's fault that you don't have what they are looking for (Think a concentrated version of everything you hated about your high school drama teacher").Plus

Theatrix is a great resource for your show costumes! They have a huge collection of historical costumes that made outfitting our cast of Something Rotten" a breeze. We rented costumes for our medieval themed wedding and the staff were so pleasant and helpful, they made it such a pleasurable experience. It was our first time renting from a costume house so we weren't sure what to expect. We were just so blown away by the beautiful costumes and their great attention to detail. The costumes were even tailored to fit perfectly! I will gladly recommend Theatrix for any costumed event. 5 stars!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
