Wonderful experience! I booked a table in advance and they sat me by a window with a beautiful view. Soup of the day and Tune Tataki were amazing

What a wonderful meal to end our 3rd anniversary staycation weekend. If you’re looking for The best dinner views in the middle island, this is the #1 place for you. I have eaten at the place many times in the convention room of this hotel and the food has been great. This is the first time I have eaten in the restaurant with the view. The quality of the food has definitely improved over the years and the presentation is fabulous. Mike was our waiter tonight, and he was very personable, kind and had a lot of attention to detail. The cod & halibut were perfectly. Easy to park no long wait. If you want the window seat, I would highly recommend reserving in advance. We had a table that was a little bit back from the window which still had a gorgeous view but if you were looking a window seat, I would call ahead. Thank you for a wonderful evening we will definitely be back. I even bought a gift card for my dad for his upcoming birthday present. I know they will love it

This place is amazing! It’s in a nice hotel with even nicer water views, higher prices with great service and food. Plenty of drink options including wine from BC, delicious food and desserts. Short ribs come in small portions, but the chicken and fish n chips are pretty big and the linguini had plenty of protein! Service was amazing, we had reservations so staff had us seated and drinks ready quickly, food came in a reasonable time, this place deserves five stars

My mom lives down the road so when I visit we usually come here to have some happy-hour drinks and take in the view. On this visit, they had 15% off bubbles on Saturday, so we took advantage and split a bottle of wine. There are two decent bubbles on the menu for $50 which is not bad when you take 15% off. I can't comment on the food because I have never eaten here but the menu does look a bit pricey but I guess you pay a premium for the view.The patio has umbrellas and if you come between 3-5 they have 25% off most alcohol and some appetizers.

Located inside a very well renovated, older hotel. The atmosphere was excellent. The food and drink options were fantastic and the view was very enjoyable.

We had an outstanding dining experience at the Bayside Restaurant. There is not a bad seat in the restaurant and you can take in the amazing ocean view from almost any table. Hubby had the short ribs which were so meaty and tender, absolutely delicious. I had the Prawn & Scallop Linguini and the flavour was fabulous with plenty of large scallops & prawns in a yummy tomato pesto cream sauce. Our server, Eve, was attentive, pleasant, made great recommendations and enhanced our experience here. We will definitely eat here again next time we are in Parksville.

I had a delicious burger. Don't care to be served unripe tomatoes, though. Companion enjoyed her chicken sandwich and yam fries. Just waters. With 18% tip under 45.00 Slow service.

Beautiful patio looking out on to the water. Unfortunately the food was very mediocre which definitely hurt the level of value. Originally popped in for a snack before going to dinner due to pretty mixed reviews on the place. The mussels and Caesar salad were pretty good. Although the mussels didn’t have any presets and neither did the main dinner. Ended up staying for dinner due to the view. The wife had the west coast pasta (recommended). Pretty bland for a $37 pasta. I went with the ribs (recommended) and got a tiny half rack of ribs. I have never bought, served or been served a half rack so small. The sauce was ok, kind of heavy on molasses but I’m sure some people would like it. The carrots on the side were barely less crunchy than raw. The meal wasn’t bad just very mediocre and missed the mark of trying to achieve the premium level they were going for.
