Diana Downtown | Home | In 2005 we immigrated to Canada to start a new life in the mountains of northern areas of Pakistan. With our values, determination, and zeal for life, we began to rebuild our lives, making Canada our new home. Diana came into our lives 7 years ago. We invested every penny we had into Diana and started on this new venture. Diana has been a kind soul to our family – embodying our love for food and people. Diana provided us with an opportunity to embrace all that we were and all that we would become over time. Diana has seen various transformations that mirror the changes in our family, the local city of Guelph, as well as the evolving Canadian culture. From breakfast and homemade pies to award-winning ethnic cuisine, we have all belonged to the story of Diana. We strive to combine the elements from Diana’s beginnings with all that Diana Downtown is today- hearty comfort food inspired by a far away land and prepared with love. It is not only our food and drink that makes us unique. You will see, taste, and feel what makes us special. The people at Diana Downtown; from our guests to our team also play a role in creating our atmosphere and identity. As you look around you will see the real Canada in all its’ diversity. Our style and values are not only reflected in the artwork and music which decorate our space, but they are represented by our staff and our Diana family. Best Indian Food in Guelph! Fresh, consistent always tasty and great portion sizes. They always have a great variety of options too for the curries of the day. And all the staff are exceptionally kind and fantastic! One of our families favourite restaurants in Guelph and super fast for take out as well. Cannot recommend enough.

I've been coming to this place on and off for 15 years now, seriously! Although the ownership changed, I'm happy to report the quality (both food and service) remains excellent. I've always loved their fusion food menu items.

Great food. I do recommend beef vindaloo for spicy lovers. An amazing taste:) The other dish we had today was Ghandi Revenge was excellent as well. Very creamy and full of flavor !Definitely 2 thumbs up!

Very good experience. The food was good. We were two people. We took one thali and then extra rice and extra kofta curry. Food was delicious and ambiance was good. Waitress kira was really kind, she treated us nicely.

We went with a group of 12 people. The servers that handled our group were wonderful! The whole restaurant was packed at the time and we still received very quick and friendly service. I've always been a huge fan of Diana Downtown. Like most locals, I've been coming here for a while now. Always great service, great atmosphere, pretty good food.Overall, a great experience. Highly recommend to everyone!!

we ordered takeout and truly don't have much good to sayportions are small, and food is blandwe ordered a lamb curry and 2 vegan curries, the one vegan curry came with yogurt making it not vegan which was rather upsettingwe also ordered vegetable samosas and received vegetable spring rolls instead.overall it was not a good experience and we are unlikely to order again.

The food was absolutely delicious, and SO many vegetarian (and vegan) options! My partner got a coconut lamb curry and I got the veg thali with bean and eggplant curry that were both amazing. We started with the pakoras which are super tasty but HUGE so we had to take a lot of food home (no complaints there). The daily curries change so we’re looking forward to trying more!Update: went back again and had just as good as an experience as the first time. We went on Thursday for the Date Night deal. This time I had the chana chaat which was SO good. I liked it better than the pakora from the first time. I also had a thali again with aloo gobi and chickpea and potato. Highly recommend.

One of the best Indian restaurants I've been too. The service my Jeff was amazing. And noorie the cook/owner is absolutely good at what she does. We had a tandoori wrap ghandis chicken dish with one garlic naan which came along with absolutely amazing salad on the side. And some rice. Wow! It was a lovely experience.

It doesn't quite taste like sadness because this 1 meat/1 veg thali has literally no taste at all. Surprised by ground beef as the meat. Naan was microwaved. Not sure what the matching brown gloup vegetable dish is. Very disappointing. Ordered via Skip. 27 bucks with fees, tip.
