Ok-ish place and food.I ordered fried chicken ramen, the chicken was really good and delicious but not the ramen noodles! (I personally didn't like it)Also, service was not good. During my time there none of the waitresses asked if I need anything.Wouldn't go back!

Ok-ish all you can eat for the price. In a convenient location right within Metrotown and steps away from the movie theatre. There was a line up on Sunday morning before opening with all the families waiting to get in. Food was average, nothing really stood out, but service was quick. We got our first food on the table within 15 minutes and food came consistently. Oyster motoyaki was mostly mayo with very small pieces of oysters. You can get up to 30 items from the all day mix and match menu. Overall, an ok experience with a good price tag.

ONE OF THE BEST DINING EXPERIENCES YOU CAN HAVE AT THE METROTOWN MALL. Totally worth the money you spend. If you go during the “late closing hours”. YOU CAN ORDER AND EAT ALL YOU WANT…EXACTLY… ALL YOU WANT! (If you waste food… you might have to pay for the extra…however, the staff are really nice so you don’t really have to worry too much)

Unfortunately, Kawawa has gone rogue. They have effectively launched a protest against the all-you-can-eat movement. As a way innovate the ayce sushi industry, Kawawa has introduced a new economic system in which each customer is awarded 30 tokens, and each token is to be spent on one item. They do keep track of your token usage, so be careful what you invest you tokens in.Stocks to invest in:- Nigiri is good, although they limit you to 5 pieces (not very legendary.)- Grilled Salmon Head (delicious, but limited to one per person, come on!)- Rolls and Cones (they actually slapped)Stocks to Avoid:- Tonkatsu (just don’t, especially if you respect Japanese people)- Fresh Fruit (your token is not worth ONE singular orange slice.)- Deep Fried Tofu (the batter literally tasted like cardboard, like you know the free cardboard boxes you can take from Costco? Yeah.)Kawawa, I really wanted to like you man. It pains me to say that Kawawa was not very Kawaii desne.I hope to come back to Kawawa again, and when I do, I hope that they are able to separate their communist political ideologies from the sacred art of Japanese AYCE. There should be no Japanese AYCE with a built in economic system that oppresses people who enjoy eating more than 30 items. We as a nation need to get together and change Kawawa for the better! Fight for change, fight the system, fight for equality, because whether you’re White, Black, Asian, Hispanic, LGBTQABCD+, you should still be able to enjoy a TRUE and AUTHENTIC all-you-can-eat experience without limits, not this pseudo-all-you-can-eat b*llsh*eeeeetttttt.

The food was delicious, and the service was lovely. The only reason it's not a 5/5 is that their website menu says AYCE, and has no restrictions, but when we got there, we found that they have a limit of 30 items per person, and 5 pieces of sashimi per person.30 items per person was still plenty (we didn't leave hungry), but 5 pieces of sashimi isn't quite enough for a salmon sashimi lover.

Price hiked for “AYCE” (but limited to 30 items) to $22.95 on weekdays (up from $19 3 weeks ago). Certain items like chicken karage have limits per item (5 per person). Miso soup is no longer unlimited for dine in, despite the menu still says otherwise. You may have a chance of being full if you order strategically, ordering mainly sushi (rice makes up 90%), meat items like Tonkatsu, or udon dishes.Of course don’t expect top notch food for the price of course; portion sizes have decreased a lot even compared to 3 weeks ago. Sushi is somewhat miniature sized (60% of regular size sushi, fish is as thin as paper), Pork Tonkatsu is about 6cm in length per slice (1 order = 1 slice), and oyster motoyaki takes lots of extra chewing to break down.I really want to say you get your money’s worth, but it’s debatable at this point. Maybe it’s only worth it if you order 30 pieces of salmon sushi.

The worst japoneses restaurant I’ve ever been as in service as in food.I went last night for dinner and once I ordered it took them 28 minutes to deliver the order to the table.Terrible way to deliver food to customers When they handed me the dishes they almost threw them at me, lousy service from the waiters and the woman in charge. They never took away the dirty dishes, I had to ask for tea and napkins and they never served me again that, I order fresh fruit, they gave me just a simple grape and the edamame were frozen in and after all the manager expects you to leave a tip.The food just doesn't taste good. This restaurant doesn't even deserve one star.

Good overall experience. Will give them five stars. Expectations weren't high but food was actually quite tasty, and the price for AYCE was extremely cheap by today's standards. I think they said they will discontinue it though, makes sense as that price was too low. Service was slow but they were trying to manage two restaurants with 3-4 servers so they did their best.
