Food is so good I'd like to come back. We made a couple of more turns to get there based on good reviews and pictures, but we're surprised it looks inside even more fancy.A stylish nice log cabin for real lumberjacks and I tell you dish size are so huge they will make you full. Awesome place!Kids enjoyed their activities on kids menu while waiting for meals.

We stumbled across this place on our way home from Algonquin Park. What a nice gem! The food was great and they even had vegan options! We will certainly stop by again.

Excellent experience! Awesome food, amazing and friendly staff, fantastic atmosphere. Owner was so very nice! We took our son for his first restaurant experience and they were so kind to him! Will be going back regularly, for sure!

We were so happy to find the algonquin cookhouse has reopened! We went for dinner and were greeted with an inviting, cozy atmosphere, the food was great, the waitress was prompt and friendly, food came out in reasonable time, and the prices were well within a fair range. We will definitely be back.

Welcomed reopened only restaurant in Harcourt, Ontario. Nice food, reasonable prices. Next to a gas station with excellent stock of wine and beer.

Wednesday, July 5, 2023...1 p.m.Stopped in for gas and lunch in 'downtown' Harcourt as part of our route plan.Server was knowledgeable and genuine. (A treat in itself)IF a customer has the good fortune to visit on a day when the soup is corned beef and pepper, one should definitely have it. This item is AWESOME and a meal unto itself.I'd almost drive the 6+ hours from home, for that soup.
