Sunnybrae is a nice 9 hole course setup. It was beautiful with the fall colors in the trees. I found it NOT user friendly in the regard that the starter directed my foursome to pick up the ball if we didn’t hit the green in regulation (3). Ridiculous expectations to have everyone who’s playing to be a par golfer. We all pay the same price…$40+ w/cart…and should be allowed to play our game. Our foursome was continuously followed by a menacing marshal which was very intimidating and took away from a planned fun, holiday golf outing. It will not be my first choice the next time I consider a fun round of golf.

Played today, greens were generally fine if a bit slow, but the fairways really need some care. There are bare spots, and clumps of taller grass on the edges. The mower maybe needs some tweaking.

Main course is in good condition. The links course fairways were totally covered in overgrown weeds. They should not have it open or it should be $10 to play it.

You can’t beat the price…it was very reasonable. The course was in good shape; bunkers were good (had enough sand to hit out of properly) and the greens were ok. The signage was poor so I didn’t know where the fairway was located on several holes, but my friends golfed here before so this helped. Otherwise, I would have hit my drives onto the wrong fairway…my friends said they did this, when they played her before. Didn’t see any Marshall, but that was ok…didn’t need to improve the pace. No cartgirl on the day we went, but we had some non-alcoholic drinks so we were fine. The course is flat (not hilly) so you can walk the course. The only weird thing was the washrooms; the toilet paper dispenser only dispenses ONE sheet at a time. What the heck! I felt like I was in public school…how about getting proper dispenser rolls, which let you grab several sheets. Yet, this is my only complaint so that’s pretty good.

Really love this place and the friendly staff. There are 3 courses to choose from and they are challenging enough (some more than others). I really loved the simulator lesson as it gave valuable feedback and is well worth it! The vibe of this place is also pretty chill so I always have a good time.

Booked the golf simulator today. It was a great experience. It was a nice setup. Mike was extremely helpful explaining everything to do with the simulator. Will definitely book again.
