I waited a year to write this review because I didn’t want to potentially lose business for two young people just starting out, but I highly recommend against using Upside for your garden. Again, I feel bad saying it but DO NOT CHOOSE THIS BUSINESS. I worked hard to save what I could, but Upside unfortunately killed my decade-old rose bush, a hedge, and three other beautiful and very mature plants in my garden. This was not their intention obviously. Yet, I asked them to clean up my yard as I’d been sick and unable to, and they ended up shearing and butchering several plants. I’ve now had to hire a professional landscaping business to try to re-plant and restore what they killed.If you need very basic yard work done, these are your guys! They have no idea how to prune flowers or other more delicate plants, so maybe hire them to mow your lawn or dig a hole. Just please don’t pay them (lots of) money to destroy your garden, as I did.

We used Upside for all of our landscaping projects during our time owning this house.We first used Upside to design and install wide front flower beds with curvature and a river rock border and plant a few trees (June 2021). We’ve hired them for various jobs since, and we have always been pleased with the results. Alex and the rest of the team are punctual, professional and hard working! They put out amazing work in an incredibly small amount of time.I highly recommend Upside to anyone in search of landscaping services in Whatcom County.

Alex showed up on time and ready to work. He was diligent, responsive to our needs, worked cleanly and quickly. He paid a lot attention to detail and obviously takes pride in his work. We are so pleased with his work that we felt he had underbid his work and we compensated accordingly. We will definitely have him back in the Spring and will be looking forward to have him maintain our yard.Thanks for a job well done Alex.

These guys are fantastic! I hired them to do front and rear yard maintenance and have since had them replace old railroad ties with awesome concrete steps. We couldn’t be happier - finally - to find a landscape business that is reasonably priced, reliable, and just a couple of really quality people. Thanks guys!!!! Matt
