Ollie Quinn

I recently had the pleasure of purchasing two pairs of prescription glasses at Ollie Quinn in the Glebe (Ottawa, ON). I travelled 1.5 hours to obtain Avulux Migraine Lenses in both pair of glasses (Ollie Quinn is the only authorized dealer in Ontario/Canada at present). Some months ago I purchased a clip on Avulux lenses from the US specifically for photosensitivity and migraine prevention. I did a considerable amount of research and discovered that these lenses did in fact exist but were not yet available in Canada. I kept checking the Canadian websites and was so pleased when they finally became available. What I can tell you is that even if you suffer from eye strain due to using a computer, watching tv, using your phone (or even the bright reflection off the snow), you will notice a HUGE difference wearing the Avulux lenses. I had been having eye pain for months and as soon as I started wearing these glasses, the pain went away. I still get migraines, but not as often and not nearly as intense. While they have a visible tint they do not distort colour. I can't recommend the Avulux lenses enough. They are worth every cent. If you have benefits, ask your family physician for a prescription for Avulux Lenses for migraine prevention and photosensitization. Submit that prescription with your receipt and you may be covered in part or in full depending on your benefits package. It is worth the try. Love my glasses! I had my eye test done at the westboro location which was great, and I bought my frames at the glebe location because I work in that neighbourhood. Both locations are lovely with great staff. I was really grateful to have a kind and supportive team at the glebe location to help me decide on frames! It’s also nice to be able to pop in really quickly when I needed to have them adjusted.Thank you!
