BC Whale Tours Victoria

This was an amazing whale watching trip. We were so lucky to have absolutely beautiful weather and such calm water! We got to spend time with a humpback whale and we also got to see sea lions and seals and we were in the midst of a harbour porpoise feeding frenzy which meant we saw so many porpoise all around us. It was a real delight. Gordon was our captain and he was kind, gentle, humorous and fun, paying special attention to the kids on board. It was a small group of only 8 of us so everyone had plenty of space. Just based off my own personal experience I would really recommend this company and a lovely morning tour.

Had an amazing time today whale watching. Here are reasons why I would recommend BC tours. It accommodates twelve people and it's a smaller boat which I liked because it keeps you at great eye level with the water in order to see the whales. I feel like it gives you a more personal experience. The tour company provides life jacket suits that keep you warm on the water and is a flotation device as well. Our tour guide was very friendly and informative. He gave us time to take pictures of the whales and seals that we saw and he did not rush the experience. It was easy move around the boat and take pictures unlike bigger tour boats that I saw which had a lot of people. We were able to see orcas and humpback whales which was amazing. They key is patience as you are seeing the whales in their natural habitat and also have to care about the whale safety so we had to keep a visible distance from them. Was a wonderful experience and highly recommend BC whale tours!!!

We’ve been whale watching before but this company far exceeds any experience we’ve had before. Russ was a great guide. We saw lots of Orcas, a humpback whale, sea lions, seals and an otter! Riss knows so much about the area as he’s from here, is very knowledgeable about the sea life and has a great sense of humor. We laughed and had a lot of fun. Great experience as part of our Victoria trip with my brothers wedding party.

My wife and I had an excellent time, provided life suits helped with the chill out on the open water. The TIKA zodiac travelled very fast and was fun even without the added bonus of actually seeing a whale. Boat operator was cool and courteous of the other whale companies on the water, ensuring we offered a chance for other company clients to get a view as well. All in had a great time!

Excellent experience our guide Jordan was very knowledgeable and made it a great trip. We were lucky enough to see humpback whales and loved the seals on the island.

Saw transient or Biggs killer whales (matriarch 109A, her adult daughter and two juveniles), harbor seals, sea lions, shore birds and lots of great views. Shoutout to Captain Jimmy of the Tika. Truly a great way to make memories and spend time in awe of our natural wonders here in the PNW.Key info - the captains are very experienced and know the area well. Ours handled the boat in rough winds and white caps like a champ. There is also a bathroom on board! Oh and they give you marine/survival suits to keep you warm and safe. I'm a bigger lady (20w), my husband is 6'3

Great time spent on the water with a company that is respectful of the whales. We saw Orcas on our trip in April but told there are other types of whales depending on the season. On a windy day be prepared for a fun choppy ride!

I selected this company on the basis of other Google reviews. I was very lucky with the weather (warm, sunny & relatively calm) and impressed by the ease of booking on line & the helpfulness of the staff. The Orca" was perfect size & captained by Brad a veteran of 20 years in this business. We saw nothing for the first hour or so but Brad's experience and knowledge ensured that we were not disappointed. Altogether we had three+ sightings saving the best for last
