I usually use Hertz, in Budapest and the staff and cars are brilliant.Here at Hertz Brussels train station..... could not believe it, gave me a damaged car, smashed wing mirror, damage to two doors, that was NOT marked on their documents, no one in the car park to verify the damage on the car. Interior was all dirty and dusty. Had to take lots of pics. On returning car, filled up car with petrol, was only 1/8th tank less and they charged me a ridiculous under €100. Never use them again.GOTO Sixit next door at the rental office, the staff are more friendlier. I arrived 11.40am and Hertz staff told me I can not take car until 12 noon. Minus Four stars.

I got charged 45€ after returning the car with an extremely unclear invoice (I prepaid 87€ already for 1 day rental). No signs of damage nor mention of that on the invoice so still don’t know why they charged me.

Ok first Samuel here is very kind. We had booked before coming from the states with Avis and they wanted more money for the rental, for the drop in Ghent and more for insurance. I walked over to Hertz and met Samuel. He offered a great rate for an automatic and a drop off fee that was less than half the fee Avis wanted. Our rental went smoothly and I would go to hertz here anytime

We went inside at 21:55. First, they closed the door to the office. When we knocked, they insisted they were closed even though they close at 22:00. We really needed a car but they refused and we ended up sleeping on the floor in the station.

Best rental experience I have had. Friendly staff at Midi where I picked up the car. Smooth return and friendly staff at Schiphol. Great little rental car, almost new. Nice drive, easy process. great adventure. I opted for collision insurance just in case. Was given three options with no pressure. Will rent again from Hertz next time.

DO NOT USE. An appalling company quite frankly. Extremely rude staff right from check in to drop off. In addition, we were charged EUR500 for 'Specialist cleaning', with the company attaching photos of light dirt and gravel that brush off when you step in and out of the car as would happen when in use. Tried to dispute and have been cut off entirely. Will be taking the company to court over damages.

The car had not problem at all and the renting was smooth. The problem is that I rented a car for one weekend and after 3 weeks I still did not receive back my deposit nor they sent me a confirmation that the car was received in a good condition.I have called them several times and every time I received a different answer: 1) it will come in 10 days 2) we already paid it and it is a problem of your bank (denied by the bank) 3) it can take up to a month - this is honestly unprofessional and ridiculous.

the guy who attended me in the morning was useless and incompetent. I ask to book and the super dry answer from him is I DON'T HAVE CARS. I say that I see availability in booking and his answer is: HERE IS NOT BOOKING LOOK WHAT IS WRITTEN IS HERTZ I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH BOOKING. I book with booking and I tell him I already have a reservation and his answer is: COME BACK IN TWO HOURS ..... the second one who attended me at 4pm is super friendly and very very professional
