Lord Selkirk Elementary School

this place is my childhood. quite literally. im in grade 7. if you are a parent looking to see what school to send your child to, we have a good sports program but the gym teacher can be biased. i dont have any experiences of teachers from grade 4 and under. mr hoflin is lax and a great teacher, lets us grade sevens hang out in his room after school. mr nickel, the grade 6 teacher, gives as much homework as you would expect a grade 7 or 8 to do. eh, good practice. fun teacher to talk to, if you like hockey be sure to get in his class. mrs kushniruk is pretty strict, homework about the same as mr nickel. ms chan is also strict and gets mad but calms down easily. a little crazed but in the very good way. ms smeeth is overall another lax teacher, and is nice.

I went there from 1973 to 1981.Lots of my friends went there too some of them I still keep in touch with I would like to find more of my friends that went there.I always enjoyed going to the store on Fridays during lunch. Is there any teachers or other staff members still at Lord Selkirk that were there in 1981?

Great teachers, great support, my son is very happy going to school everyday!

Caring teachers and staff, a community feel at a big school

Mostly good memories of this school I went to in 1978. Tough area but good kids/students. Benny Wong MD where are you now? I am a doc in Oakville Ontario. Still remember getting my hair pulled and sent to office by vice principal for throwing snow balls. LOL

My cousins, Finn & Carter go there. I don't. Ha

Love the teachers, Ms. Moy is a very kind and WONDERFUL TEACHER! Ms. Chan is also great, Staff are kind and helpful, BEST PLACE TO GO!

Lord Selkirk Elementary School have excellent teachers and support for the students, I found for my son the necessary support like migrant with his language and relationships.They also have excellent programs and techniques to increase students' interest in science, arts and the wild.Thanks a lot Mr. Hofflin, Mr. Ee, Miss. Smeeth and Miss Chan.
