MAY NAILS & SPA in Saskatoon

Usually a great experience here, but not so much this time. Came in to get my nails done for my graduation banquet. Apparently can only view colors from a FB pic instead of the sample sticks (fine, its whatever). But the biggest issue was that the color of my nails was nothing like the pictures. I asked to put on more coats to get it to the example pic on their FB and she was very hesitant. Had to call the boss over to which she agreed with me to get more thicker coats, but the girl doing my nails only added a couple more thin coats. Still no where near what I was hoping for. I wasn't happy with how my toes turned out so I chose a different color for my fingers, but the exact same thing happened. Wanted another coat but was told it's supposed to be natural. I just feel like it wasn't worth the 100$ paid for and I wasn't listened to and was quite rushed. Just really too bad, I wanted to feel special for my big day tomorrow.

Absolutely horrible experience! I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.I went in to get my acrylic nails removed and the lady who was doing the service wrapped my fingers in tinfoil and cotton pads soaked with 100% acetone then left me there to take on another client. I sat and waited for over an hour with 100% acetone on my fingers. When she finished the other client she finally came back and removed the tinfoil then continued to use an acrylic nail file on my chemical burnt and extremely damaged nails. It hurt so much that I kept pulling my hands back and flinching to which she would get upset and grab my hands and held them down. She filed my nails down so much that by the time I left they were bleeding, had huge craters and were so sensitive and flexible that any sort of pressure would tear them. It took months for them to heal properly.To be clear, I had this done a few years ago and posted a review on here but I noticed my comment was deleted? So I'm reposting my horrible experience.

service here has definitely dropped. used to be my go-to for pedicures but not anymore. there are definitely better places around the city

Went there today and sadly the service in this place has gone down. I am so disappointed with how my appointment went and not only that but the price that came with this appointment. Used to love going here and would recommend it. Not anymore. There are way better places in the city.

The staff are very kind from the time you walk in to the time you walk out!They were very careful with my mothers' needs as it was her 1st mani pedicure ever at 77yrs old! I believe she loved her experience so much she will go back! It was especially great to have quality care done for a very decent price! Thanks so much ladies!

I was visiting from 'out of town' and wanted to treat my sister-in-law to a pedicure. We had appointments but when we arrived we were seated in a chair and asked to soak our feet...the water was cold and we waited about 30 minutes. We did get the deluxe pedicure (which is essentially cheap lotion in a box-not worth it, my opinion) My sister-in-law thought her pedicure was 'ok' .....I was very disappointed. My feet are dry so I have quite a bit of callus to remove...she hardly touched it... I have had many pedicures over the years, this would rank as the worst. We should have at least been offered a discount for having to wait so long for our appointments.

Have gone here many times for acrylic nails as well as manicures over the past 5 or so years. Every time I was satisfied with the service and the job they do.There is one lady though that works there, appears to be a helper? Lou, I think her name is - find her very rude and condescending. She didn’t do my nails and I hope she never does. She tends to act like she runs the place when the owner isn’t around. However the rest of the staff and the owner are fabulous.

Pretty disappointed in this manicure. It took over an hour and 20 min for shellac. My previous color wasn't even removed completely. It chipped after a couple days and started peeling up from the bottom after a week. Normally I can get shellac to last 2-3 weeks before damage.

first time coming here for shellac pedicures with my friend. I was not impressed with the service we got here. The lady who was doing my friends feet, had her friend seating beside her while having a whole conversation in Vietnamese. she said a few rude comments about my friends feet, that she probably did not know she speaks Vietnamese herself. The lady that was doing my pedicure burnt my foot with hot water, when clearly she did not feel the water. both ladies were rough with our feet, and rushing to get off work. It’s been less then a week and it’s chipping, my shellac never chips so that’s interesting. i would not recommend coming for pedicures here
