I've put off writing a review of Olympic because I dislike even thinking about them. We had a good experience working with their team while we were considering our options, and chose a modified Elmhurst home design, adding a front porch and enlarging the sitting area inside, and built on-site just outside of Winnipeg, exterior completed and interior to the framing stage.Once we signed the agreement and the process started, it went downhill quickly. They got my name wrong or left it off of important documents completely, despite being corrected more than once. Olympic only put piles under the garage but forgot to include the piles under the house in the stamped drawings, and having that corrected and re-stamped took weeks. Communication across the board was abysmal and caused significant delays. I genuinely hated seeing their names show up in my inbox.The framers they hired were obviously inexperienced, installing trusses backwards, among other issues. We brought a carpenter friend to our walkthrough with Olympic because we just plainly didn't trust them anymore, and it ended with a yelling match between Wayne with Olympic and our friend, who was pointing out deficiencies that would get flagged during the framing inspection. The inspection found more deficiencies, although at that point Olympic did actually apologize.The design of the covered front porch is amateur, where the rooflines don't tie in together and a gutter runs under the covered porch. You couldn't tell from the drawings that this was the way it was going to look when built. It looks bad. Birds LOVE it though.I have a much more detailed written account of our lengthy and negative experience with Olympic that I'm happy to share with anyone seriously considering working with them. There were literally too many issues to put into a Google review.I hear that anyone who builds a house says it's a process they wouldn't enter into again, but I have to think that our experience would have been better if we hadn't chosen Olympic.

Great people. CARE FOR QUALITY on their builds! Do work for these guys and know first hand the quality they strive for.

Wayne in the RTM division is top-notch! Definitely an asset to Olympic, We could see he actually cared about our needs and requests. Keep doing what you do Wayne, you are good at it!

Honestly. A good company. But can get it built by a home builder for cheaper

As far as websites go, this was top notch. I was surprised at the information they had available. Really wasn't expecting to see the prices listed. Usually companies/websites want you to leave your email and contact information, and they will get back to you. But they showed the prices here. I was impressed. And they seemed very reasonable as well.

If your going build a home , these are the people you want on your team.Friendly, knowledgeable, and spent time to understand my needs.
