Great spot to stop for the night. Newboro has the store Kilborn's which can be good for a couple hours of perusing. There are not many spots with power for boats so get there early. The power is on the high side. Narrows side. Also Stirling Lodge is a must for a bite to eat.

Beautiful! Great spot for kayaking either above the locks on the narrow channel or below the locks around the Marina near the town. Restaurant options. One of 3 locks we found that would deliver groceries (see photo).

Love Canada. I've been a yearly visiter for 30 years now. People are great, fishing top notch and depending on where you stay, will clean your daily catch for dinner.

A great spot. The map greeting you gives a good idea of the park but the boardwalk that used to be there is sadly missing. It is a pretty walk over to the locks and washrooms. There is a wonderful panorama of Newborn Lake.

Really neat place to take a stroll by the water and watch the locks work! Great for bringing kids to show them how these canal systems work. They have facilities available on site as well as picnic tables and ample of parking.

Any Place on the Rideau is amazing to me , nice lock station great for a day picnic, beach across the street and lots Place to fish from if u adventure up the trail at the end of the parking lot ! Boat watching spot

One of the few hydraulic locks on the Rideau. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and the history of the locks.

Been going to this area since 1957. Try Stirling Lodge in Newboro or The Opinicon in Chaffeys Locks.
