Although our car was not ready when we arrived to pick it up, it was only a short wait. We were given a much nicer car than the one we had ordered so we were quite excited about that. Very nice person working at the counter!

Our car was not ready for us when we landed at the airport even though our flight was delayed 45 minutes. Once they did our paperwork we had to wait again for a key to show up for our vehicle. Not the vehicle we requested not even the vehicle on the paperwork. The vehicle was adequate but definitely not what we booked. The staff could be a little bit friendlier, but they were not terrible. Would not recommend renting here again.

I had an excellent experience with Budget at the St John’s airport in Newfoundland. The customer service representative was friendly and helpful. I booked a mystery vehicle and was satisfied with the vehicle provided. Budget also offered competitive prices. I will book with Budget again.

Got a great deal and a great car. The reservation and pick up process was easy to navigate. I was able to use my corporate discount to get a great deal. The car was brand new, with lane assist features etc. and this took the stress off the amount of driving that was needed. Drop off was easy. A little while after I left the keys at the counter I got a text message that the car had been successfully checked in. This left me feeling confident that all was well with the business transaction.

When dealing with an issue that arose at this location we were advised to call customer service. Customer service advised us that they were unable to help and to return to the desk. I returned to the desk and a different employee said they were unable to help and gave me an e-mail to contact the owner, Mark. Mark did not respond via e-mail and they apparently do not have a phone number for him at the desk. Both staff we dealt with were zero help and there is no way to reach someone higher up. I would recommend avoiding this location and not to prepay for any rentals here.

Budget St. John’s airport never returned my calls. A rep from budget somewhere told me they wouldn’t hold my reservation even though my flight had been cancelled and changed to a later arrival. Another rep told me they would. When arrived at airport Budget was closed and told to go to AVIS. They were awesome and provided the car although still as a budget rental. So, rent from AVIS and not Budget. P.S. Budget counter was still closed a week later so returned keys to AVIS. I don’t think Budget actually staffs their counter at St. John’s airport so good luck if you do rent from them.
