Makimono Sushi Bar & Restaurant
We had a good experience here. The bento box was delicious and the Philadelphia rolls were great too. I also ordered Maki Set C which was not great, which included unagi rolls, dynamite rolls, and salmon tempura rolls. For some reason the salmon looked cooked and the dynamite rolls did not look how they traditional would come at other sushi joints. The unagi rolls were ok, but are better as nigiri rather than as maki rolls. Overall a good local spot for sushi.

The restaurant looks very clean and the design is beautiful. But the food is something else.The chicken and broccoli: the chicken was very dry and when I told the manager and the chef the chef was not happy that I complained about his dish.the Sesame chicken dish tasted like eating a chew toy.The complementary soup and salad don’t even bother eating them.The only thing that was good was the sushi and I give it 7/10.Don’t go to this restaurant if you ever thinking of returning a dish because they will not be happy to hear from you

I usually order all my sushi from this restaurant.. after today I will never spend another dollar here. I ordered dinner for myself and sat outside waiting for the notification that it was ready. Once I got the notification, I went inside and was greeted with the most disrespectful and unprofessional employee I think they have. She was serving tables and I saw her cleaning some on the way out if that gives any idea as to who it could be…. I walked in and showed her my phone and politely told her I was here to pick up my order, she took maybe a half a second to look at the counter and told me it wasn’t ready and said I needed to wait. Which was absolutely fine, but I POLITELY explained that I got a notification from the restaurant saying my order was ready and that it’s no rush but that’s why I came inside when I did. I absolutely understand food needing to take time and that was far from my issue. I had no problem with waiting, however after I explained that I had received the notification, she gave me the most snarky and stuck up face I’ve ever seen and almost seemed like she was mocking me when she repeated herself that it wasn’t ready. She didn’t say a word after that and left to go clean a table. Another really kind woman wearing a mask came up to me less than 2 seconds later and handed me my food. Needless to say I won’t ever return because of this one woman’s attitude problem.

Makimono Sushi Bar & Restaurant
This place is amazing, service was fast, food was amazing. We had the all you can eat all the food we tried was great, a nice selection of food also.The iPad we ordered from was easy to use. They have this cute little cat robot that brings the food to you and can send it back with your empty plates. Restaurant is very clean and staff is friendly.

Good service, nice people working , loved general tsao chicken, tempura and spicy salmon. Was not into black dragon even though it’s normally my favorite.P.a. all you can eat currently is not open due to covid.

Service at this location is horrible! Quality of food also has declined since Covid.Every time we come here they try to usher us out quickly, even at the door they tell us before we even sit down !Half the restaurant is even closed down and you can’t sit anywhere!! Very annoying and frustrating. Will not be going there anymore !!

Totally overrated and overpriced.We went around 4:30 in the afternoon so it wasn’t overly busy. In the past we’ve gone here and the last few times we were sure that we didn’t get as much food as we had ordered via the iPad they give you so this time we did our best to pay attention. Sure enough several items we ordered, all the more expensive, seafood type foods, were “forgotten”. We had to ask three times for them to bring various items that they said the chef must have just forgot about. The process was even more difficult since half the time or more the food was delivered by a robot so no person to ask or check in with. We served and sent back most of our finished plates by ourselves. My husband tried to ask a server for more wine but she just dropped a plate on the table as she kept walking…think drive-by eating.The bill was also insane. For 2 adults and four children under 15 it was 250.00. The only drinks were two tiny glasses of wine, the rest was water. The server, who we only saw when we had to track down our food and when we got our wine, automatically added a 15% tip onto the bill before it even got to us and we were hurried out because the evening rush was coming in.This is not a place where you want to spend 250.00. The food is good for what it is, but the atmosphere, service, and attention is as transactional as a McDonalds. There are far better independent sushi places nearby.

Watched two employees try to refuse entry to a woman with a service dog tonight, after treating her like garbage they finally seated her, only to come to her table and say insane things to her for over 20 minutes. Trying to tell her her service dog would scare customers, or an employee might have an allergy. The woman with the dog very politely explained the laws as stated in the Discrimination Act, only to be told be the worker that she was wrong. The woman and dog were nothing but calm and behaved, but the two women they had to put up with should honestly be fired for their disgusting behaviour and discrimination. Absolutely pathetic to treat anyone like they did, I will never again go here or recommend it to anyone.

Makimono Sushi Bar & Restaurant
Truly an exceptional restaurant! The quality, service and atmosphere are phenomenal. I've come here with both friends, coworkers and family, it's truly such a nice place to eat and have a good time. I came here for the lunch special and ordered many different rolls, sashimi's and tempura dishes. All of the meat was very fresh and especially the fish! You can tell that they are focused on quality of the food. Service was also phenomenal as the waitresses were super helpful. My favorite dish here are the custard buns and the salmon sashimi! I'll continue to come back here for more!
