Cool Choir
I thought singing was something I would never do because when I tried it in my teens, I didn’t know either my voice or any songs. It took me almost 40 years and Cool Choir to find both. The three-part answer is, if you can speak, you can sing. You learn to sing alone by learning to sing with others. And the most important thing isn’t talent, it’s fun because fun, strangely enough, is how you find faith in yourself. And faith’s universal expression is song.

Jamie is an extremely talented Choir master. He gently coaches choristers to expand their comfort zone, and gives everyone an opportunity to be part of something greater than their individual selves. The emotional and physical benefits of making music in a group are well documented, and everyone is welcome in this community!

This choir and in particular its director, Jamie, has been a real gift to me. I am not a good singer, don't know how to read music, and have never been part of a choir, BUT none of that matters. Jamie is so accommodating in creating a community through a shared singing experience. Cool choir is a very special, unique, and fantastic experience. Mike Balogh

Cool Choir is so much fun! And Jamie is so nice to us too-what a relief to have a director who is so upbeat and just wants me to have a wonderful time enjoying music I love to sing. In addition, I have met some new friends, but the best part is that the Costume Requirements" is only a $20 T in a colour I love. Fabulous! WENDY"

Cool Choir
Enjoying the different approach as I sang in a community choir in Rocky Mountain House for many years. Returning to Calgary after 22 years so welcoming the opportunity to meet new people. A new surprise was singing bass with so many women. Not complaining, just noting the difference. Look forward to our family and friends evening and the event in May.
